Quaint tea room with homemade pie!

This is an older established restaurant in Brookings that your will find many a local. It is basic American food that your mom would make. I like the Chinese chicken salad. Very good dressing. This salad is made with iceburg which is appropriate for the recipe. Save room for dessert. Homemade... read more

My main meal of the day is about 1:00 each day, so their menu of sandwiches and soups, with relatively small portions, really didn't work for me. The food was good enough, just not enough of it.

Today we stumbled across this great tea house. This quirky place had great home made food and the ladies who served us were lovely and engaging.

we'd heard that dee-ann's tea room cafe was good. so we knew we had to try it, as we're looking for a good breakfast place. i don't eat bread or potatoes or anything sweet, and request fruit instead. well, hubby ordered ham and cheese omelette with potatoes and toast. the ham and cheese omelette was alright, but the ham wasn't... If you want the BEST Strawberry Shortcake, this is it! The lunch menu is also very decent. Come here for the deserts though and you will not be disappointed.

My wife and I stopped at the Tea Room for lunch. I had the chicken and avacado and chicken dish....which lacked something. My wife had grilled cheese and tomato soup. She was dissappointed in the grilled cheese.

The Ginger Chicken salad is great. They have two homemade soups each day plus a special. Also great desserts such as pies, cream cheese brownies, bread pudding and more. Very friendly staff.

I am glad to see that the online menu has been updated and made accurate since I was looking at it. Please be aware that this restaurant does not serve a traditional afternoon tea as we thought they did after reading their menu online. They do not have a tea list. The only reason it is called the Tea Room... More

I stopped by a little local café today and found a hidden gem. The atmosphere was quaint, the people were friendly and the food was great! I had a Ginger Chicken Salad that was unlike anything I had ever had before, chicken on a bed of lettuce with a wonderful dressing. I wanted more! The desserts were amazing. Luckily I... More
