Hawaiian Comfort Food

I popped in here for dinner one night during a road trip. Was tempted by the Loco Moco, but opted instead for the Yakisoba noodle bowl. Service was prompt and the food was good. Reminded me of authentic mix plate restaurants in the islands that I've been to. The indoor atmosphere is more like a cafeteria or diner, but the outside seating in the summer is nice. A decent place for a quick bite.

What a find! Never been to Bend…wandering around the Old Mill and OMG my favorite from Hawaii was right here! Delicious food, - fast - super friendly staff and a delicious Pineapple Cider. Sweet Hawaiian memories. Thank you!

Real Hawaiin Food-No Ka Oi

I'd like to give them a second try

We've been to Kaua'i and love Hawaiian food and were looking forward to Kona. Sadly we found ourselves running behind and had to get to-go and then had to eat it the next day, so keep those conditions in mind. The Loco Moco looked awesome, and it's similar to what I make at home. My wife got spring rolls and potstickers. Due to our schedule we could not eat our food hot and fresh, and then it was in a mini-fridge for a day. Once it was heated up again, it wasn't that great, but I feel certain it would've been much better if it had been fresh. My fries needed all four packets of ketchup. My wife gave me half of her food. Not that tasty under these conditions. I'd give them another try if I'm ever back in Bend. Friendly staff, colorful decor, tables and chairs, easy to get to, plenty of parking, handicap accessible.

Quick and tasty

The restaurant was fairly busy but the service was quick and friendly. Hubby had teriyaki chicken plate with rice and Mac salad. I had lemon herb chicken with rice and green salad. Both the teriyaki chicken and lemon herb chicken were tasty and had a slight char to them which is typical of Hawaiian grilled meats. I would recommend this place to others.

Best authentic local Hawaiian

Loved this place! In 22 years living in the nw after growing up in Hawaii this is one of only 2 places I can honestly say captures the genuine flavors I love and remember. If I lived here I would come here all the time!

Our Favorite Quick Meal

We were there last week, and we go to Kona Mix Plate often. The food is incredibly good, and the service is prompt and cheerful. We really like the 3-choice mix plate of Kailua Pork with cabbage, Spicy Chicken, and Mahi Mahi grilled.

Food is great. Serving size is a little small on the teriyaki chicken

Loved the food but the serving size for the teriyaki chicken was pretty small especially for a Hawaiian food restaurant. I'm used to having leftovers at a Hawaiian restaurant. Kahlua pork serving size was great or what I'm used to. The food is definitely right up there with my top 5 for the restaurants I've been too. As a comparison my favorites are Local Boyz in Corvallis, Du's Grill in Portland, Hollywood district (and on 185th in Beaverton), Hawaiian Grill in Hillsboro, Bamboo Grove in Portland and Noho's Hawaiian Cafe in Portland.

Great Hawaiian food in Oregon

I had the 2 mix plate of spicy pork and beef teriyaki. I also ordered the Poke. Everything was amazing and they were quick and efficient. I will come here everyone I visit Bend.

Small Cafe with Big Flavors and Great Service

After a long drive, we walked from our hotel over to Old Mill and stumbled upon Big Island Kona Mix Plate and wanted a casual dinner. What a great find! The service was friendly and done with a smile. Mr. B ordered the Coconut Scallop plate and loved every single bite. The scallops were cooked perfectly and had such a nice coconut flavor to them. I ordered the Sauteed Tofu with Broccoli and their special Potato Mac salad. The Tofu was nice and browned but still tender and soft in the middle and was covered in a tangy teriyaki sauce. The broccoli was seasoned well and their special Potato Mac Salad was absolutely delicious, creamy and seasoned well too. This was a great find in Bend.

Big Flavor at Big Island

First visit there. Food was surprisingly, good. So good that I went back the next day for dinner, as well. Reasonably priced, prepared fresh, and almost too much to eat. Next time I am in Bend, OR, this is definitely the place I will return to. Thank you!!

My husband and I were craving some Hawaiian food during our trip to Central Oregon. So we stopped in here. The food was amazing and the service was great. Everyone there was extremely friendly. Our kids also loved the food (they tend to be picky eaters). We will definitely come back when we visit Bend again!
