We walk right past it in the morning

My wife and I walk 5 morning a week for exercise, often going past McMenamins. Twice now we have stopped for breakfast. We have shared the pancakes and beakfast burrito. I am no fan of burritos. They weigh a ton and taste like cardboard. I have changed my tune. This is the best breakfast burrito. Great flavor and you don't feel like you just eat 4 pounds of beans. The pancakes are very good as well. We sat outside in the garden each time. The morning sun felt so good. I am pleased to say they strictly follow the guidelines for covid 19.

We Ate Dinner There Twice in Four Days. Moderately Priced, Good Food, Good Beer, Outdoor Dining Available.

We ate dinner at McMenamins twice in four days while staying in Bend (Aug 2019). It had that good blend of great food, good beer, friendly service, nice outdoor ambience at moderate prices. We visited based on reviews and didn't feel we were let down. We parked down the street and walked to the restaurant where we were seated on the patio under an umbrella on both visits. We enjoyed mahi mahi with rice and beans and salmon with brocolini and potatoes on our first visit and a more casual pizza and beer on our second visit. Great food and drinks at reasonable price

Was there on 2/7 with a large group. Had to wait a short time for a table of 8, not long at all. Service was great, food was very good. We had salad, pizza, burgers, steak, fish, chicken and Mac and cheese. Everyone in our party was extremely happy with the food. The prices are extremely reasonable Would highly recommend a visit

We went to the restaurant yesterday, Sunday morning around 9. A brunch menu was provided. None of us are big eaters so we ordered small breakfasts. As we sat drinking coffee and hot chocolate, we noticed the table of 4 people seated closest to us was seated at least 15 to 20 minutes after us. We realized something was amiss when they were served their brunch meals while we had not been served our meals. Clearly we had been forgotten. We asked for our check. To the restaurant staff's credit we were comped our drinks. However, we won't be going back.

Food off the chain!

I ate there several times and all the times I do I’m breathe taken. Great local food with excellent ingredients choices. The food is always at the right temperature and comes in time. Great service too from the staff...

Reliable Pub Food

If you've eaten at other McMenamin's restaurants, this one will seem familiar. I avoided the high end entrees, and stuck with reliable pub grub - burgers, fish and chips, beer, etc. The massive Greek-style salad I ordered was the highlight though - a generous portion with tangy flavors. Service was solid, even late at night.

Tasty and good service

My wife and I enjoyed dinner at McMenamins recently. The beer list is long and satisfying. The food menu is limited, but what is available is tasty. Service was fast and efficient. All COVID restrictions were followed. The back patio is a great place to sit.

Over Cooked Burger

We eat at McMennamins a LOT. We feel we can rely on their cooking standards. NOT tonight. I ordered my Bacon Cheese Burger "MEDIUM", warm pink center. Ticw it came well done. The second time I just ate the burger, as my wife was alread done with her entree'. Our server Tim, was great, and took the initiative to comp my meal. Perhaps they had someone new on the grill. With burger prices approaching $20, you need to get it RIGHT!!!!

Off duty employees do not need to sit at the bar distracting other employees trying to work

Went to the brewery and sat at the bar. Watched as 1 bartender Lare worked the entire restaurant. And this was as evidently other employees not on the clock sat at the bar being loud and distracting other employees from doing their job. Even heard one other person asking the off duty people “how many bartenders were scheduled today” and I wanted to say not sure but only 1 was working. Kind of took away from our experience. And we normally love sitting at the bar but not when 1 person is overworked with no help. Cool place but not sure we would go back.

Fine hotel, with unusual charm

We loved this hotel. Staff is friendly, helpful, and seem to enjoy their jobs. Several pubs and other features. Great outdoor restaurant/pub with fine beer selection, and good-looking food, though we didn’t eat there. Centrally located, and we ate at two of Bend’s best restaurants, each a walk of less than 5 minutes. Parking provided. Breakfast extra (though we had a credit), with a fine menu. No pool, except for soaking. Just a nice, happening place.

Fun place to eat.

While we have stayed and eaten in Bend a couple of times in the past, we had never been to the downtown area. We were pleasantly surprised by the numerous restaurants and pubs. With so many choices, we opted for an old standby, McMenamins. This restaurant located in an old catholic school was a really neat place to eat and the food was terrific. You can’t beat their tater tots. And while we ate inside, there was nice outdoor seating as well. We hope to come back.

We stayed at the hotel with the breakfast package, so we had 2 breakfasts and tried dinner 1 night. The breakfast were fine. Nothing special, but perfectly fine. Service was good. Dinner was mixed. I was looking for something other than the fish and burgers we were getting at other stops, so tried the Pork Medallions. Not a great choice. Average at best, which is not a big surprise considering it is likely better suited to standard pub food. In that regard, my wife's pizza was good. I had a few beers that good.

Love the ambiance

Love the the ambiance of all McMenamins especially this one. It has several rooms to include a small room with a fire place gives it a rustic feel of a European pub. Staff is super nice,. didn't eat at this location, had their house cider which is one of my favorites. Didn't stay there since they are really pricey and not in my budget.

Room Service

Ordered room service for dinner from the Pub during our hotel stay. The red salmon was fishy (but the accompanying Yukon mashed potatoes were wonderful) and the Hammerhead BBQ chicken pizza and green salad were “just okay.” As usual, the beer and cocktail were excellent. Spent about $70 before tip, no extra fee for room service.

Unique and Quirky hotel in downtown Bend

Unique and quirky hotel that was once a school, with many artistic touches to capture your attention. We stayed in the art house where every room had its own name and unique art work. The rooms are somewhat small, especially bathrooms, but there is an air of comfortableness that makes it easy to settle in. Great location that makes most areas of down town an easy walk. Outdoor area by the cigar bar was hopping on a Thursday night with a live band and young, bouncing crowd.
