First, make sure you have reservations which we did. Bend during the summer is a happening place. On a wednesday night parking in downtown was tight and every restaurant and bar appeared full with folks waiting. We were seated quickly, those without reservations were told 45 minutes to an hour. It is a fairly large restaurant with at least three separate dining areas. In the room he were seated there were probably about eight to ten tables- reasonably spread out I'm assuming as a covid precaution. We were greeted by the waiter who told us the specials offered a wine list. He was helpful in the selection of our wine to go with our dinner and also took care to understand my wife's food allergy. We ordered our wine , our starter salads and our entrees. The service was great until our salads arrived. From that point, we felt rushed the rest of our meal- sald plates were quickly removed and entree plates immediately arrived, wine was checked and our progress monitored frequently. Dessert and coffee were offered, when we ordered coffee for my wife and I siad I would just finish the wine, our bill immediately appeared. The food was very good. Prices are high imo. Most, if not all, steaks are $50 plus.

Since Covid interrupted everyone's lives so drastically it has been a while, a long while, since my wife and I had the pleasure of dining with the folks at The Bend Brickhouse. We were there last night and, as expected, the restaurant was filled with people who enjoy good food, expertly prepared and served by professionals. Our server was Todd. Todd is a genial individual who knows how to treat people with kindness, great service and a smile. When you make your reservation, as I hope this review causes you to do, ask to be seated at one of Todd's tables. He is "the icing on the cake!"

Not bad, overpriced Nice ambiance, great local wine list, good steak selections. Nathanial our waiter was fabulous, the best part of the dining experience. Two dishes were “specials” of the day, cioppiano, halibut. No prices listed however sounded like good choices for us. The Cioppinano was $59.00, would be ok however the sodium contact was through the roof. So unnecessary, ruined what would have been a decent dish. The halibut was ok, slightly over cooked , little dry and also $50.00.

We were seated in the back room at 5:15, which was the only time we could get a reservation for 8 people on a Thursday night. The ambiance in the back room was not good, and we wish we would have been seated in the front of the restaurant. Brickhouse is a higher-end restaurant with $50+ entries and $100+ bottles of wine. High prices are fine, we dine at a lot of higher-end restaurants but with that comes the expectation of a great meal with great service. The waiter was nice but seemed to be stretched between other rooms. The drinks and appetizers came with a slight wait, but nothing too bad. We had the Baked Brie and Garlic and some wedge salads which were good. After that, things went off the rails. It took a good 90 minutes to get our food from the time we ordered. While waiting for the food, the waiter came by after about an hour and apologized for the wait. We continued waiting and waiting. Finally, the manager came by and told us they had a kitchen mishap and a worker had been sent home. Not sure what this was, but all of the other patrons looked to be getting their meals without a long wait. When the food finally came it was good, but we were disappointed by the service. One of our members also overheard the wait staff speaking about whether they should comp us dessert or something for our troubles, but there was no such offer when we received the bill. We expressed our disappointment after paying and we will not be going back to Brickhouse or recommending it to any of our friends.

A significant disappointment given the relatively high prices of this restaurant! Let me explain….we ordered cocktails a few minutes after being seated. A few minutes later we ordered their Brie and garlic appetizer which wasn’t appropriately cooked. About 10 minutes later the appetizer was served by the manager and we asked, where are the cocktails? The manager acknowledged this was off. A few minutes later our cocktails were served by an obviously inexperienced server. The main entrees ($39 apiece) for seafood pasta and scallops were disappointing. (By the way, the seafood specials, salmon and ahi were $45 apiece. Very high pricing when one considers the amateur service.). Oh, one final note, our booth was quite uncomfortable. Bottomline: the most disappointing $200 dinner I have had in the last decade.

We went there to celebrate a friends birthday. I told my wife we were just going to enjoy and don't worry about the price. I expected at least a Ruth Cris@ quality for the price. I had a Cajun seasoned Rib Steak and my wife had the Steak Oscar. 1st: We went out to have an excellent steak, prime meat. Meat was probably grass fed, and USDA good to choice. It most certainly was not PRIME. 2nd. Sear you steaks! There is a lot of flavor lost when you roast them in an oven. 3rd. Don't call a semi-tough dry steak a Prime rib steak, really? 4th. $20 corking fee because we wanted to bring the birthday girl her favorite wine? Please..... 5th. The filet was OK but the Oscar was flavorless. Much better in Vegas which is further from the Crab.

Exceptional, personal service. Great food + value. Our bartender Abbigail @ Pronghorn Resort recommended Brickhouse in Bend for a steak dinner. The setting was what you would expect from a steakhouse; rich colors and contours; lots of brick and stone. Our waitstaff Lindsay walked us thru the menu highlighting the specials. We both enjoyed the homemade blue cheese dressing on our salads. We split a 17 oz rib eye that was well seasoned and more than enough to share. It was well paired with a WA Cab Franc/Merlot blend that was highly rated and not overpriced. Overall a great value. Would recommend this if you are looking for a good steak in Bend for a date night.

Ate dinner here with some business associates while at a conference in Bend. The food was delicious, portions were perfect and the wine list had excellent options to accompany the food. I had the 6 oz filet which was bacon-wrapped and cooked to a perfect medium rare. The flavor was great and the steak was accompanied by fresh veggies and I opted for a loaded baked potato. We had a great Oregon Pinot Noir with our meal. Our server Nathaniel was attentive without being overbearing. Would definitely recommend Brickhouse for dinner in Bend.

My wife and I were on an anniversary trek though Oregon which took us through Bend. I am so glad that we got reservations at The Brickhouse. Bend's reputation as a foodie town is well deserved and The Brickhouse is one of the leaders of the pack. The food, cocktails and wine selection reflect the passion and refinement of the kitchen and staff.

Much good about this experience with a couple of bumps. I was very excited to see they brought back the Fried Prawns, HOWEVER, they are at least 1/3 size smaller (maybe 1/2) and there were 7 on my plate vs. the 12 previously. They were hot and good, but not memorable like before. I will not order them again. The baked potato was great, but could have been a bit warmer. The broccolini and carrot was ice cold and complete flavorless with no seasoning whatsoever. The basil cucumber cocktail was amazing. Good wines by the glass, although expensive at $25 and $18 per glass. The service was 5 star. Landon was our server. The blackened rib eye was good, again, cold vegetables. Next time I will order soup and salad and see if that works better. They looked great.

We went to Brickhouse few times pre-COVID and thought the food and service were pretty good. Lately, everything about Brickhouse has been outstanding. The food is creatively prepared and delicious, the waiters attentive, knowledgeable and friendly and the drinks and wine outstanding.

Considering the high prices, I would expect exceptional food and service. Our meal wasn’t bad, but average. My seafood pasta was tasty but the sauce was overly heavy for my taste, and I expected more shellfish. Caesar salad was delicious. Wine list needs improving.

We accidently ended up here when we were undecided about a destination. We walked in ahead of the dinner crowd and were greeted by Jonathan our waiter. He was professional and courteous and when told we were celebrating an anniversary, he immediately comped me a glass of Champagne. The dinner fare was fresh seafood, salmon and halibut to be specific and oh me was it wonderful. Parmesan crusted halibut, baked potato, wedge salad. This gal was in heaven. Hubby had the expertly prepared, generous portion of salmon. They soon began to fill up, people were dining al fresco, it was a gorgeous evening and the best meal ever.

My wife and I went on date night and chose to return here. Have eaten here several times and have never had a complaint. Ordered crab cakes as appetizer and my wife said they were the best she's had. She ordered the fillet and I had New York. Both cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. I don't remember our servers name, but he was awesome. A little expensive, but you get what you pay for. Worth every penny.

I was in Bend Oregon for business for the week and was told I had to dine at the Brickhouse at least once during my stay. I'm certainly glad I did. I've been told their steaks are on another level, unfortunately I had a big lunch and wasn't that hungry. I ordered the beer battered prawns and they were incredible. Another of us had the halibut and another had the seafood pasta. All the meals were excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and professional in every way. The place was busy and reservations were encouraged even during the week. I will be back in a few weeks and will skip lunch and try one of their steaks.
