Above average pizza. We ordered the Caesar salad 4/5 (amazing croutons), half CAPRICCIOSA and half TUSCAN CHICKEN 4/5. I liked the CAPRICCIOSA best. Above average beer, wine, and cocktail menu.
We were staying in the area and looking for a lunch option in the Old Mill District area. My wife was concerned the Pick Two Lunch Menu wouldn't be enough. It was a perfect share for two. The food was great. Nice ambiance. Friendly servers>will...definitely returnMore
Easy take out and delicious menu selections. Good location in the Old Mill District and friendly service.
We visited this eatery recently while traveling in the area with our family. Service was great, social distancing precautions were evident and sufficient, and food was great as well. A pleasurable dining experience and we will be back next time we are in Bend!
Service was fine and seating outdoors felt very safe. The pizzas were disappointing, and yeah we've traveled a lot in Italy including Naples, but you can get great pizza all over the US too. The DOC Neapolitan pizzas were light on toppings and somehow not...that tasty (and we were hungry). Caramelized onion and sausage was probably the best pizza we had. All the pizza crusts were overly salty, which was strange and just not right, maybe just an off night but not authentic by any means. Bolognese was meh, with a single meatball.More
Food (lasagna) ok, service good (why do wait staffers always use ‘we’ instead of ‘you’?), but EVERY drink came with a plastic straw! Apparently this restaurant hasn’t got the word about trying to reduce usage and waste of plastic straws. I asked waitress why and...she didn’t have a clue what I was talking about.More
Maybe you've heard of the unique pizza of Naples, Italy, or you've read or seen "Eat,Pray, Love" and wondered why Julia Roberts' character was obsessed with local pizza. You can save yourself a trip to Naples and come here instead. These are fantastic, genuine, soft...thin-crust Neopolitan pizzas. They're good as, even better than, ones I had at the famous Gino Sorbillo in Naples. We also ordered an excellent pasta dish of pappardelle and Bolognese sauce. Service was fine, the order was taken quickly and prepared perfectly. Although we ordered our meals to-go, we noticed the lovely restaurant interior by the river. Note: if using GPS cell phone maps, park on the Powerhouse Drive, then walk a minute past a few shops to reach Flatbread. We visited Bend last month and looking at the Flatbread menu and photos makes me want to return. Now, if only Flatbread had a branch in the San Francisco Bay Area...More
First off, if you like a Moscow mule, start your visit with the blackberry basil mule - worthy of ANY I've had around the world. Then, sample several pizzas. They are worth the trip. This might be a chain, but they a serious about their...pizza. We couldn't choose between several options and they allowed us to do a half and half for one of our pies (we split it between Pepperoni/Sausage/Portobello and the Bianco Magnifico). Our other pie was the Quattro Stagioni (four seasons) which featured different toppings on each 1/4 of the pizza. SO good!More
Flatbread is part of a chain out of Idaho that offers quality eats at good prices. That's no doubt why there was such a crowd there on a Saturday evening, but we were still lucky enough to snag a table for two amid the din...of rock music that made any conversation difficult. The menu presents a dizzying number of options -- the pizza section alone is divided into true Neapolitan pizzas and creative, if non-traditional takes on them. We started with a goat cheese salad with grilled artichokes that was excellent -- the artichokes were truly exemplary, tender not tough and flavorful, while the portion of salad was prodigious and could have fed three or four, so it was a downright bargain at $14.50. For pizzas, we ordered the Biancho Magnifico ($16.50) and the garlicky Zucca with butternut squash ($16.25). Both were well-crafted, with that appealing crunch and char that comes from a real wood-fired oven. Again, we probably could have ordered one pie for the two of us, but there's nothing the matter ever with pizza leftovers. A well-crafted wine and cider list added to Flatbread's appeal, as did our total bill of $79 with drinks. Matthew, our flannel-clad server, was friendly, helpful and attentive, even when dealing with older, less hip diners. Flatbread could have rated 5 stars with us, except for the din of music and the slight aura of a chain restaurant operation, especially in restaurant-rich city like Bend with many independent dining options. But good food at good prices always is worth considering, whatever the source.More
We stopped in here for lunch and they have great a lunch special. Pizzetta and a salad for very reasonable price and the atmosphere is great. The brick oven pizza makes it special, light and crispy, not too much sauce but unique combinations for toppings....We highly recommend this restaurant.More
My husband and I went to the eat at Flatbread after arriving in to Bend late on a Sunday night. We had a bowl of tomato basil soup and a pizza with sopressata and sausage. It was all very good, and our server was very...attentive and polite. I would recommend a meal at this restaurant.More
I've eaten at Flatbread for years now and everything I've ordered has been EXCELLENT both in presentation, uniqueness and taste. dining outside alongside the river on a beautiful afternoon can't be beat. Don't miss this gem!
We stopped in for a light lunch, we had the sea salt parmesan flatbread and the server recommended the Burrata Caprese appetizer, It was a huge hit. The mozzarella was so soft and creamy, the best I’ve tasted. The fresh tomatoes and extras were delicious...and so was the bread that came with it. The flat bread and three dips were nice and light and the whole meal shared amongst the four of us was perfect. We look forward to coming back to try more on the menu.More
The kids and grandkids wanted pizza, so Flatbread was the choice after the movies in Bend. The highlight of the meal was that my grandson got to make his own pizza. He spread the tomato sauce and sprinkled the cheese and took a picture with...his uncooked pizza. When it came out of the oven, it was tasty! Son-in-law enjoyed a fancy salad before his 4 cheese pizza.More
