Great food, fun atmosphere, dog friendly!

We enjoyed lunch at J-Dub recently and it was fantastic. I had the donut burger, which was super tasty! All of our meals were good but the best part was how dog friendly they were. We sat on the patio with our French Bulldog and not only did they have a water dish for her, they even had a pup menu with a variety of choices. Good times were had!

Absolute fantastic service- everyone was so friendly, even the owner stopped by to chat, the water refiller, etc. Great folks! Delicious food. Got the deviled eggs & doughnut burger. Great prices for the amount of food. Would definitely visit again & I recommend!

Delicious Meatloaf Cuban sandwich

Delicious Meatloaf Cuban sandwich and sweet tots. Diablo Amber had a good bite but wasn’t too bitter. Waitress Britt provided great service and a great smile. Prices were reasonable for the venue.

Disappointed adter reading rave reviews

Fries overcooked, 'grilled' chicken was not grilled by microwaved and was a formed chicken cutlet, no flavor and rubbery texture. The sandwich was assembled poorly and messily. The lettuce was a wedge that immediately fell out of the bun. 20 minutes to serving. One group of 12 had been served and was waiting for their check. No other patrons. a little to casual for a lunch, even if it is a burger bar. This restaurant continues to get strong positive reviews, not this time.

Not like it used to be.

What a disappointment. We had eaten at J-Dub's before and it was fine, but not today. The bacon was cold and under cooked, one whole meal was cold and got sent back. The bisquits and gravy like Mom makes, was really lame. It looked like they paid more attention to sprinkling paprika on the biscuits than they did to making robust sausage gravy. We won't be back.

Every time we have ever been to J-Dub, the service is impeccable! The staff has always been very friendly, accommodating and prompt. The owner is there quite often and stops and makes conversation with the patrons as he’s either working or passing through. The specials are great, especially the deviled eggs!

Good place to take dogs

Favorite spot for drinks

My husband and I always come here whenever we're in town, especially when we have our pups with us! The staff is amazing and great with the dogs! I always order a mimosa but they have a nice drink list/full bar! The food is basic bar food but we enjoy it. The best part is they even have a pup menu! My dog loves this place so much he drags us there every visit!

2 dishes you Must try: Mr. October & Chicken Fried Chicken

After reading the reviews to find best breakfast places in Bend, J Dub was definitely on our list. The pictures of the Mr. OCTOBER AND CHICKEN FRIED CHICKEN, were absolutely on point and lead us to the best meal of the weekend. We serve seated right away inside which was very nice! When we were seated we realized it was just past 12pm. And we were devistated to think we missed out on breakfast. We asked our server if there was any way we could still order from that menu and she said it was fine. What a relief! We are definitely breakfast lovers over lunch. 2 of us ordered the chicken fried chicken. For me I asked to substitute the sweet potato tots! I saw them on the plate next to us and they looked crispy. My husband orded the Mr. October and daughter ordered biscuits and gravy. Let's just say, to begin with we almost always try the chicken fried steak or chicken when on vacation. It's our favorite. The sauce was not only made from scratch, but it had tons of sausage with an explosion of flavor. But the best part was the chicken fried chicken was breaded and fried to perfection. When you feel the crunch as you cut it while being drenched in gravy, you know they executed it to perfection! Perfect over easy eggs and a fluffy made from catch biscuit. The sweet potatoe tots were the perfect substitute for the Obrien potatoes my son had. They added just a touch of sweet to accent the savory CFC. The house sauce in the bottle was delicious as well. Mayo, catsup, horseradish type sauce gave it a kick. The Mr. October sounded so good from my husband. The bacon with fried chicken breast stuffed in a biscuit covered with sausage gravey, oh and some scrambled eggs inside, he was in heaven. Usually I would ask for a bite but I was in euphoria myself with my CFC. Next time, I would probably ask for a slice of bacon on my CFC to bring the two dishes together. He probably would have liked over easy eggs on his Mr. October but didn't think it was an option. The surprise was the side of Blueberry Pancakes my son ordered to split with my husband. I had a bite and they were the most incredible tasting pancakes I have ever had at a restaurant. Tasted hardy, different than just white flour blah pancakes. It tasted almost like a little cinnamon in there. Amazing! I asked for some jam and they had some rasberry freezer jam packets that kicked it up a knotch. The plastic screens between each booth in the back were a Covid precaution addition. I can understand why. I actually didn't mind it. Makes each table seem more private. The servers were sooo friendly. At the end I asked her to thank the chef for doing a breakfast order after 12pm. I heard her go back and tell them. Thanks! If we weren't going to have the chance to have breakfast I probably would have gone to one of the other restaurants on my list. Yesterday we waited about 45 minutes to get a table at Chow. I will review them later. The flavors there were very good and unique. The Corned Beef Hash bowl was to die for that my husband shared with me. BUT their chicken fried steak was soggy and the steak was just a steak, not even a pounded tender piece like you would have expected. The blue cheese and mushrooms did add to an explosion of flavor. But I couldn't get over it being soggy. That is why I was soooo thankful for an awesome meal at JDub. Thanks so much JDub we will definitely be back next time we are in town.

I enjoyed the extra flair added to what's the usual burger/chicken/fries that is at every bar. Sweet potato fries were excellent! Volcano burger lived up to its name and the Pesto Mac was really special.

Quick, comfortable & tasty!

We stopped in here on a Sunday just after 11 for brunch. We got a table right away, the servers and staff were extremely friendly and the service was quick! Our food was hot and delicious and did not take too long to get after ordering. My son had t he biscuits and gravy and he claimed it was the best he has had - with super fluffy biscuits, not hard and crunchy on the bottom. My husband had the blueberry pancakes and the blues were giant and tasted great. I had the huevos - although not my favorite I have ever had, it was a creative twist on a classic with the slaw and fried tortillas. I could have done with traditional tortillas just to save from eating something fried, but what the hey - we were off to hike anyway! This is a great spot to begin your day or grab a quick bite - low key, friendly and terrific service and a not fussy menu!
