Another place where aloha is brought to you. Like Hawaiian food, but not able to get to Hawaii. This place will take your mouth there, even while your body remains in Oregon. Certainly better than some local Hawaiian food, but not the best around. Some of the tastes though take me back to Hawaii.

Even with all the construction in the area this place seems to keep busy. The food is very good, and the service, friendly. We had the Macadamia Crusted Mahi and it was delicious. Nothing fancy, but yummy. The rice pudding was fantastic! The best I've had in a long time. Like "fast food," the food is served on disposable plates,... More

The food is ultimately good. Simple, protein-filled meals. Good for kids I'm sure, as there is not much spice on the food (besides salt and various sauces like teriyaki, soy, and katsu). My boyfriend and I went here a lot when we first moved, because it was right next to our apartment. We soon stopped going as much though, because... More

Hapa Grill is tucked away in a nice strip mall. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. The menu is quite varied and the prices are very reasonable. I had the pineapple chicken, my daughter had the loco moco, and my son had the chicken Katsu. All came with shaped white or brown rice... More

I was excited to try this place based on a recommendation I received, but was underwhelmed with the food, as was my husband. The vegetables were overcooked to the point of being a bit soggy and the rest of the food was nothing special. Maybe it was a bad night for the cook? Unfortunately, I don't plan to try it... More

For a real taste treat, get the loco moca made with spam instead of hamburger. Their kalhua pork is amazing! I only wish they were open on Sundays, too...

When we're missing our home on the Big Island we go to Hapa to get a taste of home. It's always a tough choice between the Kialua Pork and the potroast. So I try get my wife to order one and I order the other so we can share. The portions are generous, the staff friendly, and the daily deserts... More

My husband and I first had Loco Moco in Kauai last month. We are sooo pleased to find this dish at the Hapa Grill, but even more pleased to discover this great restaurant. They have quite reasonable prices for great quality food and LARGE portions.

I'm a regular at Hapa. What an amazing place in such an unassuming strip mall. Fast, cheap, and delicious. Get the Kahula pork with yakisoba noodles and macaroni salad... there's nothing like it!
