The food was average. The waitress was fantastic! I had heard so many great things but was not overalls impressed with the food. Had a six in our party and waited for forty five minutes to be seated on a Sunday morning. I think they actually forgot us and seated another party that came in after us first. Did give... More

This is a comfortable place with mostly comfort food. It's decorated to look like a log cabin greasy spoon in Montana or somewhere. Although they don't boast about it, it's one of about 1/2 a dozen Black Bear Diners in PNW, CA. The portions are large. The house biscuit is similar to a kitchen sponge-- ask for a single pancake... Big portions of american food. Not expensive and a great atmosphere! Small kid friendly and nice waiters. Might be smart to make a reservation when you plan to go with a bigger group since it seems its always busy (good sign).

Three of us ate supper there & we all had something different, fish & chips, an extremely large omelette & pot roast. All portions were large, tasty and of good value. We would recommend eating here. The server Bab's was very pleasant. Good job!

First of all, the portions are huge, but you can find smaller, more waist friendly versions scattered throughout the menu. The food is very tasty, good quality, with that home cooked kitchen feel. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they were very good about accommodating requests like - no added salt - for the preparation. We'll definitely come here... More

Right next to our hotel, this was a great down home dining experience. Huge portions, good prices. Ended up going twice during the same day as we enjoyed it so much. Friendly servers but the timing seemed a little off. Too much lag time between seating, taking drink orders, taking food orders, following up, refilling drinks, etc. It wasn't super... More

This was a stop in on a long drive through Oregon. In Bend we had seen a sign showing three different locations and by the time we got to Madras, we were as hungry as a bear and ready to stop in. Its decorated so cute. Most importantly, we loved the breakfast. It was so filling and very much worth... More
