Excellent fine dinning. Tons of choices with large quanity per dish. The Wonton soup comes in a very large bowl for 4-6 people, do not worry you can take it home. All the dinner items are great tasting and size. The menu boast of so...many food items to pick from. We (my wife and friends) have had the pleasure of dinning there several times in the last 3 months and we will be back. Customers for the long haul!More

First the place was not friendly when we walked in. Then we ordered and asked for coke- no coke. We asked for Ketchup because we had a little girl with us who likes ketchup-no ketchup. We asked can we add an order of shrimp to...the beef dish-No. the food we ordered was very bland. No rice unless you order it. Just entree and no extras!!! What??? Never have I been to a place where there is nothing extra except extra money for each thing!! The waitress was not helpful at all, not sorry they couldn’t do anything for us Just No. won’t be coming back! Price was not good for the food we ate. Was expensive and no taste!!More

The menu is varied. Many of the dishes are quite authentic and use many ingredients that few Westerners eat, like a dish called "the other parts of the pig", which includes intestine and pork blood. Other dishes are not so authentically Chinese and definitely not...Sichuan. Still everything is well-prepared.More

Filthy! My pictures speak for themselves. I went there with friends today for an early dinner. We were the first customers in the door when they opened at 4:30 PM. The lobby floor was strewn with trash. But, the worst was yet to come. The...three of us were seated at a booth adjoining a window. The filthy window sill was covered in dust and dried food crumbs. The glass was also dirty and spotted. All this was less than a foot from my face, as I sat in the booth. The adjoining booths and windows were just as bad. If they are that dirty where the public can see the detritus everywhere, how clean can their kitchen be? It was disgusting! I will not be returning to this restaurant.More

Went here with high hopes for delicious food. I wanted to eat in but it was a 25 minute wait for table so I did a to go order. Other people came in and made to go orders. They all picked up their orders and...left. I had been sitting quite a while so I decided to make the bold step of asking to see if my order was ready. They searched through numerous bags and found my order on the back row of bags. She handed me the bag and joyfully gave me some fortune cookies. The bag was super heavy. I had ordered Mandarin Chicken, pot stickers, and white rice. They don't give you rice with the entree, it is an additional two dollars. Drove home. The pot stickers did not look like pot stickers. They were not crispy. The texture was wet and doughy. They were the size of racquetballs and filled with what appeared and tasted like ground up spam from a can. They give you 8 of these huge things. The taste did not agree with me and the size of them was just unbelievable. "Cool Hand Luke" would not have been able to eat 50 of these. Next up I put the white rice on a plate and dumped the Mandarin Chicken on top of the rice. Big Mistake. The white rice tasted good, it was fine, but the Mandarin Chicken tasted flavorless with the exception of the fact it had a slick greasy flavor from the horribly mild sauce (the menu indicated spicy heat) and both the chicken and onions look like they went through a grease press. It was so bad, I just ate the white rice that did not have the entree on top of it and then threw the rest away. They give you a lot of food. The Racquetball sized pot stickers weighed about a pound in total, the Mandarin chicken container had at least a pound and a half of the inedible Mandarin chicken in it. Very disappointed and it was expensive too. Won't ever eat here again. Really bad tasting food. Only the white rice and fortune cookies were good.More

This was our second visit to Taste of Sichuan and the food was just as tasty as I remembered. The pot stickers are wonderfully meaty and tasty. The entrees are a very generous size so we overordered but have plenty for the next few days....The menu itself is very large and has many options - I think everyone can find something they would like to eat.More

I heard great things about this place so I was excited to try. Very busy for 1:30pm on a Saturday. Service was good. I got the hot chicken with fried rice and hot and sour soup. The soup was ok. Not much broth and had...lots of onions. The chicken was very good, not too much coating but enough to make it crispy. It was really spicy, very delicious though. The fried rice was just alright. I would come back!More

First off. The dumplings (pot stickers) are to die for!!!. These are not found in the frozen food section. You know the ones I mean. These are fresh, house made and filled with meaty filling. 8 for $11 and worth twice that. Whenever I come...the airport(I live on the coast), I stop for 3 orders of dumplings. Two for our dinner and 1 for the freezer. yummm. The other dishes are also great. Look to the "wild side" menu for the more traditional chinese favsMore

We ordered 3 dishes. Cashew chicken which was the best of the 3. It was small pieces of meat coated in something brown with cashews. I don’t know what part of the chicken it was because of the coating but it had a different taste...and texture than I’m used to. The stir fried prawns were ok, flavor was tasty but the prawns had a very weird texture as well, they had no “chew” to them, almost like they were so soft they dissolved in your mouth. I double checked they were cooked all the way through and they appeared to be, so not sure why the texture was off. They also had a slight smell like they were possibly soaked in something which could explain the texture issue. Lastly we ordered the Sichuan chicken. We love Sichuan food and we both were starving. It looked beautiful...We both ate just a couple bites thinking our first pieces of chicken were an anomaly and it would get better. It did not. I have no idea what kind of meat that was but it was like no chicken I’ve ever eaten. The meat had no texture like real chicken does. It had kind of a slimy coating. We each ate like 2-3 bites and tossed it. Their sauces and vegetables were ok, veges were crisp and plentiful but the chicken and shrimp were nothing I would ever order again. If you’ve ever eaten fast food chicken nuggets you will understand what I mean... it might technically be chicken parts mushed together to resemble the original but it most definitely did not have the texture of unprocessed chicken I am used to. I am giving them a 2 because the veges and flavors were good and they’re a small business trying to survive during a pandemic. If it were not a pandemic I would struggle to give them a 1 and I most definitely won’t be recommending it to friends...unless they’re vegetarian.More

We've been here several times before. This latest visit was a mid-week, late lunch and we were surprised by the poor quality of pot stickers and one of the main dishes. The pot stickers were incredibly tough and thick-skinned with virtually no taste. The dipping...sauce was little more than incredibly hot oil with chili seeds - not what we've had before which had flavor. I returned that order and the replacement, while noticeably fresher, still had the too-thick fibrous skin and no taste - and the same hot oil dip. This time we also tried a sweet and sour dish (pork) and the meat pieces were also overly tough and not particularly tasty. The meal was saved by the crispy chicken with hot garlic sauce which was was as good as we remembered and, overall, saved the meal.More

We've been trying different restaurants that offer soup dumplings, and this was the third location in the area that we tried. The service was excellent (our cups of water never went below half-full), and the portions were huge for the price. We left with doggy...bags galore. The food was OK. Not bad, but not great. We didn't go for anything spicy, so if you like more spicy food, it might be better. Not being experts on asian/Chinese food, there wasn't anything that would convince us to go back except for the amount for the price. Again, it wasn't bad, just not the best we've eaten either. We would probably go back to either Tang Dynasty off of 185th, or Din Tai Fung at Washington Square Mall.More
