Any seafood fan in Tulsa knows White River Fish Market & Restaurant is the "go-to" place for great seafood, and has been for many years. It's an unpretentious place. Nothing fancy here except the food. You order at the counter from a huge selection of...seafood & sides, and a waitress brings your food to your table. Fried, grilled, broiled, steamed are your choices. Many great sides to choose from. Cole slaw, hushpuppies, beans, onion rings, French fries, are just a few. All are excellent. They also have a fresh seafood market where you can buy seafood to take home and cook. White River supplies many other local restaurants with their seafood also. Flown in daily, it is the freshest you can buy in Tulsa. On this day I took my brother who just moved back from California. He had never been to White River before. I had the fried shrimp with fries, coleslaw, & hushpuppies. He had the Snapper & onion rings. Both were excellent as always.More
Fantastic, it has been a long time since if eaten at White River and that was a mistake. Don’t let the decor fool you, this is better than any white table cloth restaurant at half the price. No matter what you order get the gumbo....Also, market with fish and shrimp is wonderful.More
Both locations are wonderful, the food is to die for and they both have deli's where you can get fresh seafood to take home.
The crab legs, the fried platter, the salmon, the brisket, the lobster..Everything is great.
The service is impeccable, I have never...seen my tea glass get half empty!More
This popular spot offers a variety of reasonably priced seafood dishes prepared either fried or grilled. The items include fresh fish and a variety of shellfish including lobster. The decor is bare bones. You order & prepay before sitting at a 1950s style table. The...low prices are obviously attractive to their customers, but we found the food and service just average. There is no liquor license to enjoy a libation with dinner.More
I absolutely love the smoked trout, onion rings, slaw, & hush puppies here! Hubby likes the grilled tuna, but it is a little overcooked for me. I forget what the whole fish there is, but it is also yummy if you don't mind working around...the bones. The atmosphere is not special, but the line (often out the door) tells you how good it is! There's a fresh fish counter too.More
