We were seated as soon as we arrived at our reservation time. The entire experience was 2 hours. It was an enjoyable time and we needed the time to digest. It was our 1st time and our server was very patient explaining everything to us....We only did the fondues and not the salad and entree. It was me and my husband and our 3 kids ages 7 to 11. We have picky eaters and even 1 that doesn't like cheese, but there was something for them all to eat and not constantly complaining or wondering when we were leaving. I now see why people recommend this place. Very delicious and enjoyable.More

My husband took me here for our five year anniversary and outside of him and the very kind Assistant Manager, Amy, is was a bust. I would say of all of the ones we’ve been to, this was the worst service we’ve ever had, I...would actually give our service a 1. My husband bought the most expensive package they had, ordered flowers, and made reservations in advance. We are celebrating our anniversary and staying elsewhere and to top it off, we drove an hour and a half one way to get there. First, our waiter seemed very distant in our conversation with him, like he was going thru the motions, but not really hearing us. We could live with that, but when I started noticing the waitress serving the table next to us was at our neighbor’s table three times to maybe our one, I was becoming very disappointed with our service. When we did receive our salads, mine was the house salad, I was so unimpressed with it that I wanted to send it back. I told my husband this looked like a salad you might get at Bonanza and he said Bonanza’s looked better. Actually, it looked like old wilted iceberg lettuce with a little bit of sides. When we didn’t see our waiter, we asked one of the waiters at another table if he could send our waiter to us, he never came. Then, a little later, my husband stopped another waitress and asked if he could send our waiter to us and explained about the salad. I proceeded to tell the waitress that I just said something to my husband about leaving the restaurant and this is when the Assistant Manager became involved. She, Amy, was very nice. When she came to the table we explained to her what was going on. I pointed to my husband’s almost empty tea glass which he has sitting to the edge of the table and my water. She was very apologetic and was actually getting a visual of our service. She was very kind and apologetic and helped make our dinner tolerable. She asked us what we wanted and my husband said tea and I asked if I could have some ice for my water. She then brought us our drinks and then the waiter finally showed up with another one. Instead of taking it back, he said “Here, I’ll just leave this one and left a second glass of tea on the table, this may have been fine except if you don’t drink your first glass fast, the ice melts in the second glass and the drink starts becoming diluted. Then when he brought our main course, he did not describe how the different cooking times for the meat worked or that we could have asked for substitutes, ie., more mushrooms , less broccoli, but we learned that from listening to the waitress working with the table next to us. Then when we were finished with our main course, we just sat there with a bulk of dirty dishes on a very small table until our waiter eventually came back over there. The Assistant Manager checked on us again, but she was so sweet I didn’t have the heart to tell her again that our service was still not good. At last, we were on our last course, the dessert portion, and we were looking forward to it. Because we heard the waitress next to us tell the people she was serving that they could substitute on their entrees, we asked for some specific things on our dessert tray and said we DID NOT want any strawberries, pineapple, or waffles. Well ... guess what ... when he put the dessert tray down in front of us, and he did it quickly, he said “It’s crazy in there” and I’ll just have to bring the special items that you ordered back. Well ..... not only did we get strawberries, pineapple, and waffles on our dessert tray, but it seemed we had more of them then what we asked for. BUT unfortunately, we had to sit there and WAIT AGAIN for him to bring the dessert items we requested and when he got to us, they were on a very SMALL PLATE and I was SHOCKED at the service once again. The Assistant Manager did take some off of our bill and I am thankful for that, BUT I am so upset about the service that I am writing this to share about it. This was supposed to be our five year anniversary dinner and I am so appalled about our service and some of the food, that I don’t think I ever want to go back to a Melting Pot again.More

Had a birthday dinner for my wife, the service was great. They sat us down early which I appreciated, the table they gave us was nice but I noticed the actual seat had cracks in it which kinda surprised me for being a meal that...cost more than a normal fast food meal. The food was great as well but I got a little sick afterwords. I’m positive I cooked all of my food long enough in the pot but who knows.... my wife had a great time and didn’t get sick thank goodness.More

We had dinner tonight at the Melting Pot. My wife, me, our daughter, plus my wife's sister, and her husband, decided to celebrate them visiting us from Chicago. When we think of a great place to celebrate...the Melting Pot has always been near the top...of our list. Tonight reminded us why we do go there...as it was great fun! We chose the three course meal which consisted of cheese fondue, salad, plus the type of cooking style, and the "varied" meats and veggies offered to eat. My sister in law and her husband decided on grilling their choices, while my wife, daughter, and I chose the boiling pot way. Now that I have been able to try both, I think still lean to the original boiling pot style. The grill method certainly creates some really good flavors too. The food was very good, our waiter was exceptional, and the experience was great and created a great family fun time together. We will continue utilizing the Melting Pot for fun experiencesMore

To me this is not a family style dinner. I have 2 boys that are athletes & are 15 & 20. The 4 course entrees might be a semi decent appetizer. I ate almost nothing. Too much of a hassle for too little food. Should...have gone to Los Cabos next door.More

I have to start by saying, I like to try new things so I was so excited and really looking forward to coming here and having a great time. I even convience my sisters and their spouses to come out and enjoy it with me...and my husband. We made a reservation that morning and when we arrive we were not greeted but was sited quickly. Our young waiter came and offer to get us all water as we wait for two more people in our group. Shortly after everyone had arrived, we quickly review the menu and had decided what we were getting. Finally, our waiter return with waters and took our order. When we had sat down they had turned on or burner. It took so long the burners had run out of the water and started to smell. The waiter explains how the course works, but unfortunately, there was some miscommunication or misunderstanding so the rest of the experience for the night was a disappointment. We all ordered 4 course meals. The rest of the night was slow and very unorganized. We sat down at 6 and did not leave the resturant until 930pm. I have never had to sit down at any resturant just to have dinner for 3+ hours. Every course that came out was delayed by 30-40 minutes. Also, we were place in the corner out front as we can see who is all coming and going. We notice some customer came in after and left before us. The host was not friendly and we had to watch the bartendar be rude to the surrounding employees along with customers(POOR SERVICE), sickening service. It was getting so late that the moment we got our desert, I had to give my card to the waitor to pay for our meal. We finished the desert and waited for our cards. My husband was so frustateed he did not even touch the food and ended up leaving the table before the desert even got to the table before he causes a scene. I will not be returning and/or recommanding any of my friend and family to come here. 1 star rating as terrible is not enough to express how bad the service was here.More

Had Reservation - seated immediately - very cool to be wished Happy Anniversary by several staff - Elliott was best waiter ever - both knowledgeable and friendly, made it a fun evening - had table 29, very private and secluded - have been to sister...restaurant in OKC, and thought this one was best with romantic element - nothing even close to negative to say - we loved the spinach and choke cheese, the strawberry and Ceasar salad, the entree where you dipped an a batter and panko, and the flaming turtle for dessert! Loved our special evening! Will have to come back! Thanks Meting Pot for making it feel extra special!!More

We have been going to this Melting Pot for almost 10 years. It is my favorite restaurant. So my husband lovingly made a reservation for Mother’s Day for our family. He also made it for 4:45 thinking it wouldn’t be as busy as later in...the evening for a holiday. We felt good about it as we were seated right at our reservation time. However 20 minutes later we had our beverages MINUS the wine I ordered and one appetizer plate. 30 minutes in and my glass of wine came. It didn’t taste like my regular wine so I asked our server. She said “I don’t know, I just grabbed what the bar tender handed me.” She went to check and came back well over 5 minutes later and said they had run out of the wine I ordered and just brought me something different without asking or letting me know. From what I could tell, they had run out of several things already shortly after 5:00. Our cheese and salads were noticeably smaller than usual but cost the same. The table next to us was informed that their wine was also out but they were told about it and offered a different wine at no charge. At that point we decided we should just cut our losses and go. $45 dollars for small amount of cheese, three small salads and two sodas that took almost an hour. No manager visit either when we asked early for our ticket. Perhaps no more visits on a holiday for us.More

My wife and I have wanted to eat here for the past 10 years, but tonight was the first night. Very disappointed with the food. I knew it was going to cost a lot, but I at least expected to enjoy it more. Service was...really good. Waiter was attentive. The dipping sauces weren’t anything to brag about. The steaks were good, but I did not really care for the cheese fondue in the first course. However, the dessert fondues were delicious! If I go back to the melting pot, it will only be to get the dessert.More

Hey Brad! I'm so sorry your experience with us didn't live up to expectations but we hope to see you back for Chocolate fondue in the future. Thank you for your feedback!

We initially came because of a Groupon deal. It was very good. Our server helped us make our choices (there were several to choose from in each category) and was very helpful. We had the spinach artichoke cheese fondue, which was good (with the exception...of some stale, bland, food service grade chips.....but the bread and veggies were still good). We got salads (they were yummy, but would skip if we returned- just too much food!) and then we got a 4 meat sampler. Everything was good (except I didn't care for the duck. Something in the flavor made it very "off" but there was plenty of other choices and my portion was plenty, so I didn't even mention it to our waiter.) The meat is basically boiled in broth, so we thought the seafoods were better than the steak and poultry. The chocolate fondue was GREAT with a ton of choices to dip in it. We would go back and would probably just do cheese and chocolate and a single serving of shrimp or something instead of the big 4 protein sampler.More

Thanks for the review! I'll pass your concerns about the duck on to the Kitchen Manager. The duck has an orange marinade that might make it taste different from what you were expecting. Cheese & Chocolate Fondue is the best! Try a charcuterie board next...More
