The rock is a great highway attraction but the food is not as good as you would think. The chicken fried steak has alot of grisle in it and the mashed potatoes are lumpy. The fried pickles are wonderful, and so is the hamburger steak.

I love to drive on old Route 66 and the Rock Cafe takes a person back to the simpler days of road travel and good eats at a diner serving good food with a smile. We had the chicken fried steak and it filled the plate along with mashed potatoes and fried okra. Best thing was the while gravy covering... More

Last minute stop for lunch, food was good, but a little pricey. Seems to be normal with the places Guy Fiero visits. Prices always go up but food stays the same. Probably a really nice place to eat before they "got famous". As for the peach cobbler, at $3.99, you get about a $1.50 worth of cobbler if you get... More

We had lunch there yesterday. My wife had the chili and I had the ham and beans. She didn't finish the chili because it was just blah. My ham and beans were served in a shallow dish to make you think you were getting more than you got. Lot of good cornbread to try to make up for it. Didn't... More

Stopped for lunch on our way to Oklahoma City. Fun, historic cafe with good food, friendly staff. If you are a fan of the movie Cars, you need to stop as the owner was the inspiration for Sally (the car).

After hearing so many wonderful things about this place we were a bit disappointed in the food. It was average "grill" food at best. However, the wait staff were so much fun, very friendly, attentive and efficient. The decor is, of course, historic, reflecting their 75 year history. We overused their small gift shop as well. Any Route 66 officianado... More

Good burgers and decent German dishes on their menu. I've had the buffalo burger, it was very good. I also enjoyed their Route 66 gift shop next door.

After a few days on the road, I was ready for something fresh and green! The Rock Cafe was a planned stop on our Rt 66 road trip and I wasn't expecting much when I decided to order the Chicken and Almond Salad since they are known for their grill, but lo and behold, it was DELICIOUS! I took the... More

The Rock Cafe is associated with the movie "Cars". You know, Lightening McQueen! The history and story of how it all came to fruition is better than the food. It was not bad. It just was no different than you get at any other eatery. I had the special of Indian Tacos. The meat was a burger patty broken into... More
