After a few days on the road, I was ready for something fresh and green! The Rock Cafe was a planned stop on our Rt 66 road trip and I wasn't expecting much when I decided to order the Chicken and Almond Salad since they are known for their grill, but lo and behold, it was DELICIOUS! I took the... More

The Rock Cafe is associated with the movie "Cars". You know, Lightening McQueen! The history and story of how it all came to fruition is better than the food. It was not bad. It just was no different than you get at any other eatery. I had the special of Indian Tacos. The meat was a burger patty broken into... More

What else can I say about a Rt 66 mainstay? The food was excellent (german and American fare), the staff was SUPER friendly and the atmosphere was very fun with lots of Rt 66 and Cars memorabilia. Sandy, our waitress, was AMAZING!!! Told us the story of the owner and how Sally from the Cars movie franchise was based on... More

The place is filled with Rte 66 memorabilia. The waitress is fun and told us all about the history. The food was excellent and served fresh and hot. Overall a fun place to eat while on a Rte 66 adventure.

Wow, all I can do is echo what everyone else has observed. The Rock Schnitzel is a great appetizer. I had the chicken fried pork, served with real mashed potatoes and fried okra. My cousin had the cheese burger. Both were excellent! We split the peach cobbler with ice cream. By the time we left we were suffering but happy.... More

We visited for a late lunch and were very surprised at how outstanding the food was. We both had German fare that was the real deal. Down Home cooking in a very comfortable setting. Service was excellent and they were all very friendly. The story about the owner is as good as her cooking. It's been show cased on Diners... More

We were driving through Stroud and came across this cafe, what we didn't realise was they had a coach party in and were actually closed until 1230. But in we walked and they were so obliging and served us with coffee, which was all we required. We were then lucky enough to hear the history of the cafe and also... More

This was our first time here. My husband had the Jager Schnitzel I had the smothered chicken. The schnitzel was the better of the two but Mine was pretty good also. It was covered in cheese though, which may be great for some people, I was digging it off to find the chicken. Very friendly waitress, great service. It's small... More
