I had the lunch special which is one half sandwich, salad, and a slice of pie. I had the corn beef on rye sandwich hot, it was very good. The salad was just regular bag salad with maybe a few spinach leaves thrown in and lots of sunflower seeds but it was fresh and good. I had coconut pie for... More

Pioneer Pies is not the hippest place to eat unless you have grey hair but it really does serve good home style food & PIE. I haven't had breakfast there but have lunch & dinner there. The lunch special has a cup of soup or salad or 1/2 sandwich combo plus PIE. Supper meals are standards like meatloaf or chicken... More

We were kind disappointed. Server was nice but inattentive. Seems like more of a local place. Chicken fried steak and eggs were good. Took home a blueberry pie. Not good!

We eat periodically here for breakfast when we are in town. We enjoy our large meals for a great price and the good waitresses working breakfast. My wife loves the pies. We can't comment about any other meals because we've only eaten breakfast and pies here.

About our worst meal since moving to Oklahoma City. Not sure if they were having a bad day, perhaps that was it. I ordered the baked potato soup which was one giant bowl of overworked potatoes, resulting in a starchy bowl of, well, let's not go there. I exchanged the soup for the salad, which ended up being the highlight... More

Decided to take a little of the holiday preparation off the plate by ordering our pie this year and I am glad we did. Although a gathering a 4, the pie was just the right size and we excellent. We picked the coconut cream pie this time.We have already decided on ordering again for Christmas luncheon. Another positive was how... More

First of all, the address on Trip Advisor is correct, however, the map isn't. In fact, it's not even close. We drove a pretty good distance across Oklahoma City to get to this restaurant. I am always on a quest for good pie. The outside of the restaurant is kind of homey and rustic looking at first but once you... More

Pioneer Pies is a MUST go place in Oklahoma City if you are looking for down-home American cooking PLUS out-of-this-world pies. The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly.

This place knows how to make pies and for me that's about it. I love their pies and the butterscotch is my favorite. They are big and very tall and aren't too pricey. They have an okay restaurant but not my cup of tea but the pies are worth the trip. Love them

Found on Trip Advisor and decided to try cause I love pie! When we arrived it was late afternoon, so no crowd at all. The exterior is a little run down, so we did not get the best first impression. When you go inside, the run down image continues. Looks like the last remodel was circa 1975 or so. But... More
