Everything about the 39 is exceptional. The food, service and setting are as good as the best the city has to offer.

What a gem. We ate lunch before visiting the museum. The hostess and waitress were both so pleasant and welcoming. Kept track of our drinks but weren’t intrusive. The atmosphere was so relaxing. We split a bowl of the Green Chili Corn Chowder with Fire...Roasted Green Chilies, Diced the Sweet Potatoes, Bacon, Roasted Corn, Toasted Cumin, Queso Fresco, Cilantro, Lime, Chili Oil, and Crispy Fingerling Potato. The flavor was well balanced and the dish was very filling. Also split the Turkey sandwich with Sage and Piñon Pesto Toasted Ciabatta, Pulled Turkey Breast, Garlic Sage Aioli, Shaved Red Onions, Mixed Greens, Cranberry Cream Cheese, and Jalapeño Jelly - came with fresh made French fried. The jalapeño and cranberry cream cheese gave a nice bite to the flavorful sandwich. Probably the best fries I’ve had in years. Highly recommend stopping in. We are planning to go back to just eat here (don’t have to pay admission if you just go to eat and don’t go into the museum).More

Loved our stop at the First Americans Museum and our meal at 39. The food was fresh, delicious, and beautifully plated. Would be worth a trip back to OKC just to stop in for another meal here.

The title 39 represents the 39 tribes. The restaurant is housed in the First Americans Museum. The menu is inspired by First Americans. There is a lot of corn, bison, grain, and beans. I had the corn ribs, which is specially and creatively prepared corn...with sumac butter, queso fresco, cilantro, smoked jalapeño aioli, and chili oil. Fantastic! I also had the bison burger, which was juicy and well seasoned, with fries. Had a couple creative cocktails, which were light and refreshing. Service was great too! Sometimes when I’m museum hopping, I’m wary of their restaurants, and often go to an external spot. Here, definitely do yourself a favor and eat in house. Not only convenient for your day out, but tasty and creative!More

This is a very good place to eat First Americans food! I loved the fry bread. I had the pork soup, which was also very good. The prices were reasonable and the service was very good!

We are a cooking club who took a field trip. Not a single “miss” on the menu; and we purposely tried a variety of items. Atmosphere and expert service were top notch and elegantly “relaxed ” in the execution. The humus and fry bread were...the best we’ve ever had. Presentation was organically artful. Gentle nuances of (unfamiliar to us) flavor profiles were most appealing. “Three Sisters” entree, stew, squash soup were unbelievable, in both depth and total balance of flavors. Warm Chocolate Cake and the Creme Brûlée were both fantastic finishes to the meal. Fortunately, there were five of us; and lots of extra spoons for sharing/tasting everything! Quality, fresh food cooked from scratch; talented chefs, lovely staff, comfortable elegance in presentation of appearance and atmosphere. Lovely. Just lovely.More
