My boyfriend and I love food and trying new restaurants wherever we go. This is the first time I have ever really felt compelled to write an official review of a crappy experience. We were eager to visit Ludivine while visiting my parents over the...holidays, and as with many upscale, New American restaurants we've tried, we expected decent, well-made portions of farm-to-table inspired fare in line with the prices we saw on the menu. Unfortunately, we were extremely underwhelmed by our dinner here. The restaurant seemed short staffed, as the hostess was also our server, and we had to stand in the cold entryway for awhile before she was able to show us to a table. She didn't bother to tell us the special before we ordered, nor did she ask us if we wanted dessert after we finished our mains (spoiler alert: we didn't want dessert). We paid $40+ for a single, confit duck leg with flabby skin, and about 3 tbsp of flaccid sweet potatoes. I ordered the rabbit milanese. $36 for rabbit didn't sound so bad, but the breading on the cutlet was burnt and acrid and the white beans, while plentiful, had obviously just been dumped from a can into a pan and heated. I did notice a lot of hamburgers coming out of the kitchen and wondered if maybe Ludivine is sustaining itself on its blue plate burger specials to make up for the fact that people aren't clamoring for their main entrees. The one silver lining was the beef tartare we had for our appetizer. It was bright, savory, and served with plenty of toasty bread for scooping. In the end, we were pretty resentful about how much we spent for how little we got--both in quality and quantity. I don't go to a finer dining establishment expecting enormous, belt-busting portions, but I do expect to have an experience I can't easily replicate at home, and I also don't anticipate having to cook something else after dinner in order to avoid going to bed hungry. Unfortunately, Ludivine checked neither of those boxes.More

I will say that (some) of the food here was terrif. The seared foie gras was remarkable and my pork loin was delicious. However, the pasta dish elicited a 'meh' from our host and both desserts we ordered were downright dreary. Sloooow service with loooong...waits for beverages and food (despite the fact we were one of only 3 or 4 tables in the place. Music was too loud, graciously turned down by the server, then turned back up 10 minutes later. Bathroom trash was overflowing with 2-3 on the floor. Not cool, not hip, not likely to return given the proud price point for a mediocre experience.More

Handsome Andy greeted us up front and kept the fabulous food and drink coming. We were looking for a place within walking distance of the national memorial museum. The menu was so tantalizing but I settled for the light lunch where I got to sample...3 menu items. Beautifully prepared, beautifully presented. We are only here for two part days so we won’t be able to return. How I wish we could. Don’t miss this gem of a restaurant.More

We were excited to try this place and went on a Monday night. We ordered off the menu then noticed 70% of the diners had burgers and fries. Well that was the Monday deal, but our waiter never mentioned that. Great price for the burgers,...and they looked delicious. Cocktails are expensive small pours. Our appetizer plate was OK. Then our split salad came right at the same time, then our mains came a minute later. No timing at all. I had a sea bass that came in a bowl of tasteless glop. The lamb shank was generous but there was no jus so it was kind of dry. We felt like we spent a lot of money and came out with a questioning look on our faces. Disappointed for sure. Service was OK, but our server was not really helpful and not experienced.More

Not sure why so many recent reviewers didn't like Ludivine. We visited in October and we were very happy with our dinner. Enjoyed 5-course Chef’s Tasting Menu very much! And their wine paring was wonderful as well; they complemented each dish so well. Every course...was delicious, and our favorite was Antelope as the main course. This is our first time having antelope and we loved it! They were lean meat but very tender, perfectly cooked. Friendly service and great atmosphere. We also appreciated their Covid-19 measure. Knowing that everyone inside was vaccinated (or negative on tests) made me feel much safer and relaxing.More

Worst piece of beef I have EVER been served in a place that attempts to call themselves a restaurant. The menu said “Prime Blade Cut” which to me says it will be a Prime cut of the beef shoulder properly prepared. I was served Choice...beef at best - more likely Select beef for the amount of gristle and inedible portions. The meat was also not properly prepared. While it had a well seasoned crust, most with any knowledge of beef knows shoulder must be cooked low and slow to render the inherent toughness of the cut. What I was given was seared and served. Nothing more. Beyond the amount of gristle and gnar, the remainder was tough & difficult to eat due to its inadequate preparation. Our daughter brought us to Ludivine, as she had heard great things, and wanted to show us OKC’s culinary prowess. She posted a review on OpenTable expressing her disappointment with my experience to which Ludivine responded “next time take your parents somewhere else better suited to your tastes.” That in and of itself says it all! Go somewhere else! Ludivine doesn’t measure up to their hype, and they really don’t care!More

This place used to be great. Food, drinks and atmosphere were perfect. Now the Owners and Employees are Nazi's. This restaurant does not belong in the United States. Peasants are required to eat outside unless you can provide papers.

We’ve dined here several times and enjoyed the food on most occasions. My sisters and I had made a reservation by phone around 1 pm, September 10, 2021. Upon entering the restaurant we were accosted by the manager (I wasn’t introduced but by description he...frequently wears a lavender satin suite). We were not welcomed or greeted as one is expected, just publicly humiliated about presenting a COVID vaccination card or recent COVID test. To add to our distress, we where forced to wear a mask. The said manager then treated us as if we were beneath their standard by informing us that we will have to sit outside to eat! We were not given this information over the phone to prepare accordingly. You’ve lost a loyal client and we will advise others as well of our sad experience here. Politics do not belong in a restaurant. This is cutting to close to personal HIPPA violations to ask for health updates.More

The General Manager could careless if his customers are happy or not....Save your money and go to the pancake house. Trust me it is way better.More

Dreadful food—bland, dry, no seasoning. Ordered the short rib—cutlery was a butter knife. Like trying to cut into a catcher’s mitt. Expensive and service was nonchalant and bad.

Read about this restaurant online. I really really wanted to like my meal. Stopped in for lunch and had the melon gazpacho & chicken schnitzel with a side of fresh pasta. My pasta tasted like bleach water, the chicken was cardboard. Nothing moist about that...chicken. Dare I say it was cooking in advance then heated up? I don't know but I would give this place a pace....And I went in with an open mind. :-(More

We had 6 people only one entree the pork belly was good. The beef was tough and stringy, over cooked and seasoned, and the cod was dull and not fresh tasting.
