Excellent food. Superb service. Not to be missed! Safety precautions are first rate. Temp check, face coverings, health question and finally a wristband to confirm you were checked at the door. We sat outside and enjoyed a spacious table which ended up filled with delicious appetizers (try the sampler) and melt in your mouth steak cooked to perfection. Too many fabulous choices for steak toppers. We let our well versed and comical server Rachel make the recommendations. She did not disappoint. Foodies would love this place! This was our first time there and we will definitely go back when we are in the area. Welcome to the South!!

An amazing steakhouse. Perfectly elegant atmosphere, music and lighting. Nothing was spared when decorating the establishment. The staff is impeccable in professionalism and appearance and tending to the needs of the customer. Now for the food.... I've eaten at steak houses all over the United States and I'm talking high end steakhouses from the Atlantic to the Pacific. All of the food.....yes ALL, is absolutely amazing. The Filets are just sinful. Your tastebuds come alive and the steak just melts in your mouth. It's pricy, but, it's well worth it. I can't rate The Ranch high enough.

Pros: The service from our waiter was excellent. The wine list was extensive. The food and atmosphere was very good.
Cons: very overpriced for what you get. The food was good but not for the price. There are many other restaurants that have just as good if not better food that is less expensive. The wine was also excessively priced.
I won’t go back. Not worth the price.

1st & last visit. Appetizer was tasty - calamari. Wedge salad was drowned in dressing. Steak was average at best, I expected better quality cut and taste. Sides were small portions even though served family style. Mac & cheese was highly touted by server, but was overcooked and tough. Okra & onion rings were tasty. Dessert was good. Expected more based on establishments reputation, but was very disappointed. Three rating was a stretch.

Average here means "good".
In a couple of visits to the OK city area we went to three of the top steakhouses (and no doubt will cover more as we go along); "Red", "cattlemen's" and "The Ranch". I have to say Cattlemen's is my favorite so far, not only because of the beef, but for its working class aspect (opens at 0600!), But thus establishment in Norman is also good.
Of course, with "the ranch", we're getting into more of a business atmosphere, no jeans, that kind of thing.
On this visit three of us had a 14 oz ribeye and a 14 oz strip, with blue cheese, glace, and garlic/whiskey sauces, and the steaks and the sauces were great.
I would hope for a somewhat expanded selection of entrees in the future, adding in a prime rib and hanger steak. The more selection, the better.
We also had a fried calamari appetizer, which could have been crispier (perhaps oil not hot enough).
Not the most important thing, but it is also worth mentioning that the three of us had a similar dinner at Cattlemen's which was about $100 less.
3 for dinner, with tip, about $230.
But still, good meal!
Bon appetit!

Our waiter (Aaron?) was fantastic, probably the best waiter I’ve ever seen. The food was very good but I’ve never paid $30 for a bowl of pasta before and doubt I ever will again, and that was the least expensive entree. It had a great flavor, but not $30 great. Some people might say the food is worth the price, but I think some say it’s good just because it’s expensive. We had a really nice evening, though.

Wedding Anniversary 20th of July . Beyond our expectations , we were not going to have an appetizer until our server David told us about the Kobe beef , so we had a 4oz to share OMG no knife needed melt in your mouth . We had the fillet and the New York strip loin both delicious and perfectly cooked , the truffle butter compound was great . Too finish we had the cheesecake with house made lemon curd . David and Brook were our servers both friendly professional and a great knowledge of both the food and drinks menu . Thank you both for making our night special .

I had long heard The Ranch described as "the best steakhouse in Oklahoma." My husband and I went there recently for a special occasion. The restaurant was practically empty, but a family with three rambunctious children was seated next to us. We could not hear each other talk at times. This would have been fine at an Applebee's or Chili's, but we are not exactly talking about the same price point.
The Wagyu steaks were good, not sure if they were worth $30 an ounce.
Two sides were undercooked. The au gratin potatoes could not be cut with a fork. Parts of the creamed spinach and artichoke were raw. We took both home and later on in the week paired them with a pork tenderloin for a nice dinner. They tasted great when cooked completely.
The creamed corn was good. Our sides were comped after we refused an offer to replace them.
They comped us two desserts because of our special occasion. The little doughnuts with chocolate sauce were great, highly recommended The key lime pie was OK.
Granted our expectations were high given the price point and the restaurant's reputation, the undercooked food and the atmosphere put a damper on our celebration. Next time we will go to Red Prime.

I am very glad I was not paying for the incredible dining experience I had at The Ranch. I am sure our group’s total tab exceeded $2,500, but none of us will forget the company, the venue, the service, and the wonderful food and drink. We were seated in a cozy separate room for our large group. Immediately, everyone was commenting about the paintings and other Western heritage decor. It was authentic without being kitschy. They offered a variety of signature cocktails. I chose the Good, the Bad and the Blackberry. We ordered many appetizers to share. My personal favorite was the stuffed mushrooms. This was followed with a crisp wedge salad with blue cheese and bacon crumbles and it was delicious. My tenderloin filet was perfectly prepared and did not need anything added, although many of the others at the table chose various toppings and sauces, like mushrooms, crab or truffle compound butter for their steaks. The sides were served in abundant family-style portions and we ordered just about every choice on the menu. My favorites were the macaroni and cheese, the blue cheese and bacon Brussels sprouts and, oh yes, the onion rings. Believe it or not, we saved room for dessert so I finished my meal with a berry-topped crème brûlée. Others raved about the brandy vanilla ice cream shake with Godiva chocolate liqueur, the rum bread pudding and the Bananas Foster. Perfectly brewed coffee was an excellent accompaniment. This will rank among my top dining experiences in my life and I look forward to a return trip to Oklahoma City so that I can visit The Ranch Steakhouse once again.

Called a friend for a recommendation on a steakhouse in OKC as we have been deeply disappointed with all of the ones we knew. He suggested The Ranch Steakhouse and warned me it was going to be expensive. He wasn't wrong, but it was worth every penny. The ribeye was well seasoned, seared and cooked to marvelous, melt-in-your-mouth, medium rare perfection. We split the sides as we were also warned that they are huge portions and the green beans almandine and loaded back potato did not disappoint. Very flavorful and nicely presented. We were blessed to have two servers who were cordial, attentive, but not intrusive, and very observant of any potential need before I had to ask. Very pleased with the overall dining experience.

Really enjoyed the medallions and also ordered a filet both were great. I would recommend asking truffle fries not on menu but fantastic. Chef was even able to make them steak fries as preferred.

The hostess could use a few more “people skills”. She hinted to my husband and I that we could be seated on the bar side; when the dining area had 3 tables occupied. I requested to be seated not in the bar. (Apparently we didn’t meet her “status/appearance” qualifications). After passing the COVID-19 screening the hostess proceeded to seat us directly between two occupied booths while leaving the rest of the dining area tables unoccupied. In a social distancing world, this made no sense to me. Why go to the bother of Covid-19 screening if you aren’t going to attempt social distancing with your guests as well? Maybe they are unaware of the complete Covid-19 protocols??
Once we were able to escape the rude hostess, the rest of our experience was great. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious! Our meal cost $150 which we had expected. You get what you pay for and in this instance we were satisfied with our meal and happy to pay for it.

Everything was top-notch! Our server, Tonya, was very knowledgeable and attentive. Food was served hot and fresh. My wife and I split a 14 oz Strip steak, and they split it for us. The sides are separate from your proteins. We got the au gratin potatoes and the blue cheese Brussel sprouts with bacon. Both were excellent. They gave us a free dessert for my wife's birthday, even put a lit candle on the bouchon cupcake. Highly recommended!

Hate to leave bad reviews in this economic climate, but very dissatisfied with our $100 each, dry aged, prime ribeyes. Much smaller than expected, but that’s OK. Not OK was a somewhat chewy, almost flavorless steak. I would expect better flavor at an Outback or Roadhouse for half the price. Two drinks total, one appetizer, no dessert, $370 with tip. We don’t mind paying for quality and ambience, but we both came away wishing we’d gone to a less expensive restaurant where our expectations couldn’t have been trounced.

Food is ok. Definitely overpriced for what they offer. There are Definitely way better steaks in town. Most people giving this 5 stars are old and have no taste buds left. But good on you for wasting money on average.
