Yes.... Asian Mexican fusion sounds weird! Near our home, my wife and I decided to finally give it a try. What a treat! The interior is warm, inviting and exciting - the servers enthusiastically helpful in describing entries and making good recommendations - the food...is delicious and very innovative. We have been back several times with friends and it seems to just keep getting better. There is a wide variety of flavors and choices such that we will be returning often. Quite an inviting treat at reasonable prices!More

Last night May 2, Chigama Asian Mexican accommodated our group of 22 long time friends to celebrate my birthday, our anniversary and each other. Very cool venue. We started with drinks (loved the French 69) which also included water, Scotch, G&T, wines. Whatever anyone wanted...they provided. Then four different appetizers were brought out. Staff had expected us to be seated at the preset tables arranged for our large group but everyone was still chatting with each other and some had not yet arrived so Chigama staff just set up the appetizers on the long high table next to us Big hit with everyone. After cocktail hour we served ourselves buffet style from beautifully presented trays of steamed buns (pork and soft shell crab) four kinds of tacos and big platters of three different vegetables. That way everyone could try a bit of everything. Our guests raved about the food the venue and the service. The chefs did an outstanding job of keeping the food arriving at our pace. Thank you Chigama for being so adaptable. Sorry for no photos We were all having too much fun!More

Our first visit to Chigama was very pleasant. The elote was delicious. The PEI mussel appetizer did not have much broth but was a very large portion. It was enough for four people. The ceviche was spicy and very good. My wife had the cabbage...salad. It was large but she enjoyed it all. She thought the crispy salmon was wonderful. We will go back soon.More

We had an adventure meal Here this evening. Essentially, when we adventure eat, we get multiples of appetizers, sides, and entrees and we all eat “family-style”! Tonight, we started with a couple of Tito’s and soda, and our son had an all-natural root beer that...he thought was great! Then, we moved onto our adventure appetizers with eloté (sweet corn grilled with crema, Tajín, and cotijo cheese) that was as good as if not better than traditional street corn and it’s not the CalMex style with mayo. We also had calamari and jalapeños, dusted with Tajín and served with a red, hatch chili sauce and garlic dressing that was reminiscent of the creamy garlic dressing served with salads in Chicago! Yum, I miss that and practically licked the bowl clean! The start of the appetizers elicited an involuntary groan of pleasure from our son and my husband: pork belly steak buns with pickles and two crazy sauces! Insanely good! We next loved on to an assortment of entrees and sides that consisted of the Chigama burger, a burger with fried egg, manchego, greens, fresh tomato, and bacon. Delectable and so rich! A Za Jiang Mein, which was a pork belly and chorizo ragu with pickled carrots, edamame and noodles: HOT DAMN, this was delicious! And three tacos: shrimp, chicken, tuna tataki tacos. We rated the shrimp as astoundingly good and the chicken and tuna tataki tied for excellent!! We also had corn risotto, that was an eloté spin on risotto! We also had a fried dusted with Tajín and our server, Sarah, brought out a wonderful Carolina Reaper dipping sauce that started on a sweet, vinegar note and ended with a lovely heat on the back end. This was offered up when she realized we like spicy things and we’ll be asking for it again! All was amazing, these are small, but shareable plates with each dish smacking you in the face with complex, interesting interpretations of flavor combinations and we HIGHLY recommend you try this place; I know we will be back!!More
