This is one of my favorite go to places in Norman. The beer is outstanding, made in Authentic German tradition. The Menu is diverse and offers appetizers, sandwiches, and full blown meals. Very authentic. I’ve visited Germany and Austria repeatedly. Just about on par with what I’ve experienced there. Owners are great. As in typical European fashion, the waitstaff will not push the bill until asked As meals are social events and are not to be rushed. The parent company, Royal Bavaria, is located north of Norman on Sooner Road. It offers an outside beer garden and an extensive menu. Great for a special occasion, guests, or special events!

I'm not an expert on German food but I imagine it's authentic. I had Goulash soup and a roll, dish has a kick to it. Big chunks of meat, more like a stew. Small dish but filling. Added cucumber salad, it was ok. Ordered Munich Bread Basket, Roll, 2 pretzels and German mustard. Rolls were great. Hubby ordered Schnitzel Sandwich, added an egg and homemade chips. He greatly enjoyed it and said it was quality meat. Emily, our server was very pleasant and answered our questions. Restaurant was very clean and tables were set for big parties. Our bill was $22 before tip

Excellent flavor and plenty of good food. We ate there fur lunch and ordered the grilled sausage appetizer, Jager schnitzel, and pretzel ham and cheese sandwich. Both meals were large enough that we had them for dinner too. They still tasted great even when reheated.

My girlfriend and I were on our annual trip, which was in OKC in 2021. There were a few things we wanted to see in Norman, OK, so Norman ended up being a day trip for us. We stopped at Das Boot for lunch. I ordered a schnitzel sandwich with spaetzle. The food was very good. The spaetzle came with a light brown gravy. The schnitzel had a nice flavor to it. If I'm ever in the are again, I'll go back.

My wife and I dined here for the first time and we enjoyed ourselves. The staff is friendly, I had a sausage and red cabbage, my wife the rotisserie chicken and beverages. The portions were generous. The service timely. The prices very affordable. We will return

While wondering about our last meal in town, I came across this wonderful jewel in downtown Norman, OK. Kind of a quirky interior, that reminded me of a scene from “Secret Life of Walter Mitty”. Pictures explain the “small boot of beer” 😳 We had the Sausage Sandwiches with Grobe Bratwurst, German mustard & kraut. We also had German potato salad. Mmmmmm Highly recommend this place.

Clean, excellent service and hard to find German food. Wife loved the wheat beer in tap. Lots of screens for sports. Will return.

The Wiener schnitzel and Spatzle were amazing. Don’t forget to try the German chocolate bread pudding, wow. I didn’t have any beer but the Riesling was perfect.

No surprise but a simple fare with the expected German specialties. Service and rates are fine. A great address before or after a football game!

Great schnitzel, great wurst. Cheap drinks, too, though we didn't actually indulge that day. Check it out!

I have been searching for a German restaurant for several years and finally found one. They have a simple menu and great prices... We both had the schnitzel, but next time we will try the sausage sampler. If your a beer drinker I saw someone with a German Beer sampler!

This is a smaller satellite branch of the popular Royal Bavaria. Conveniently located in downtown Norman, this place is deservedly becoming increasingly popular. The menu isn’t as extensive as the bigger restaurant but offers a variety of sausage plates, sandwiches, and main dishes to satisfy anyone. Everything is made from scratch, so depending upon your order, you may have a wait. No nuking of pre-packaged food here! If you are into quality you won’t be disappointed. Order the cheese curds as an appetizer! The beer is authentic German beer made by a brewmeister from Munich. Six different selections await the thirsty patron. They event have a smoke infused concoction for the 20-30 something crowd Like traditional European tradition, you will need to ask for your check. Mealtime in Europe is a social event and is meant to be enjoyed at liesure and to rush anyone through the experience is in bad form. So enjoy your experience

This is the place to go to get good German food and lots of it. The pretzel is so good and the beer is amazing. The waitress is great and the manager comes out to make sure you have what you want.
