My wife and I dropped in here for lunch earlier today while on Route 66. I ordered the Giant Burger with cheese and my wife had the regular cheeseburger. We also had a small portion of fries to share and a medium rootbeer (big by UK standards!) and a small strawberry milkshake (again, pretty big by UK standards). THe whole... More

We took our kids here, This is an amazing place to visit. The staff is amazing! I grew up in the area, and to get to see the KU-KU still up and running is simply AMAZING!! It takes you back to when life was simple and fun!

We read an article about ku-ku burgers and decided to make the drive. The burgers are very good but there is very little room inside for dining. The tables and booths are not meant for larger people but there's always takeout.

I ordered deep-fried shrimp and I had deep-fried mushrooms they were both good. My husband had a hamburger, he enjoyed it as well. It was decorated cute inside real kitschy. Route 66 decor.

We're driving Route 66 cross country, so this was a very important stop. Just had milkshakes there. They were yummy and cold on a 90 degree day. The important thing is that Waylan's Hamburgers (The Ku- Ku) is a definite Route 66 icon you won't want to miss. And the beautiful historic Coleman Theatre is just down the street.

This historic Route 66 drive-in was a great way to experience mom and pop eateries of days long gone. Huge menu but I got the cheeseburger and FF basket. Good greasy food, good cheap price, good casual atmosphere. Mark this off the Route 66 Bucket list. We go back every time we get the chance.

Thank pacemommy
