A culinary delight - the menu offerings - the ambiance - the attention of the servers - all five star. If you are looking for a place for that special evening - this is that place. Did I mention the deserts - again a culinary...delight!More
My son graduated from basic training at For Sill. To celebrate his achievement, we are at The Silver Spoon.
The waitress, I believe she was the bar manager, was so friendly and informative. My son had filet mignon, I had tuna steak, and my other...son had a burger. All of took half our meals home. The waitress provided my son with a complimentary dessert which was very much appreciated. The Silver Spoon is the nicest restaurant in Lawton! A lovely experience.More
Band was so loud we could not hear a thing, and that after moving to the back room. Server was clueless. 15 minutes to get water. Brought appetizer but no plates. We ate from the bowl after 10 minutes. Then she brought plates. Brought bread...half we through meal after having to ask again. Food was actually quite good, but not worth the poor service and atmosphere.More
Very nice place to meet family and have a nice dinner. The menu was broad enough for many and all of the selections were good according to the diners. It ended up being a bit more pricey than I thought but with everything going through...the roof on beef prices, not unexpected.More
My wife and I ate at the Silver Spoon for the first time with another couple. I ordered the salmon dinner with rice and asparagus. The salmon was tender and cooked perfectly, the rice was a bit spongy and I couldn't even cut the asparagus...with a knife because they were tough so I didn't eat those.
We were one table of only a few at first and were well served. Water was refreshed and checking in on us was properly done. Then, as more and more people came into the restaurant - we seem to have been forgotten. Water glasses were empty and the two ladies were waiting for take home cartons. Only when the waitress came with the bill and asked if we wanted dessert did we see her in probably 15-20 minutes.
The decor of the restaurant was nice, everything seemed clean, but we had a table that wobbled. The waitress had to stick a bunch of napkins under one leg to stabilize the table so our drinks wouldn't spill all over.
Prices seemed a bit high, but these days with COVID - everyone seems to use COVID as a reason to escalate prices.
We probably will go back, but this restaurant is not real high on our choices of restaurants in Lawton, Oklahoma.More
