And we cost less than the other guys. We also wanted to let you know that you’re really important to us, because we couldn’t be in business without you. We are located in Downtown Historic Guthrie, Oklahoma in the Old Santa Fe Train Depot. Visit us when you are in town antique shopping, staying a weekend at one of the many great bed and breakfast, or exploring OK's 1st Capital. We have a lot to offer you. Gage’s Steakhouse is an interesting experience, being located in the old railroad station. We ate there with a party of 10. Service was good, with just the right amount of attention. I ha the “surf & turf” a small sirloin, served with three huge fried shrimp. The steak was rather dry, as if it had been reheated. The shrimp was good, but was only warm, not hot. The potato was fine, but the carrots were barely warm. Considering the price, I really expected better.

Steaks are cooked just right, tender good flavor. Stuffed salmon is my favorite. Kids menu has variety and is the best price at $5. One of our favorite places to go!! Don’t miss out.

We were in Guthrie for my daughter's wedding and got to Gages about 10 minutes before closing time. We asked if it was too late to be seated and they welcomed us on in with open arms. The steaks were excellent; cooked to perfection and incredibly tender. We actually had eaten at Bob's Steak and Chophouse in Oklahoma City a couple of days before at the Omni Hotel and Gages beat them hands-down!

The staff at Gage’s were very helpful and courteous. We did not have a reservation but they were able to get us into the restaurant within a five minute wait which is pretty great in our experience. Mike was our waiter and he was knowledgeable about allergens “specifically gluten” and was able to direct our party to good choices for them. They do have a kids menu and the chicken tenders and junior burger were well received by our children. I had the Oki Mac & Cheese with blackened chicken and a Caesar salad and my Spouse had the Cobb Salad. Both were very good. I had gone there to potentially have the duck but they were sadly out of stock but the food we did have was very good. The atmosphere is nice as the restaurant is located in a refurbished train depot and we were lucky enough to have a freight train go by. I know this might seem pedantic for our European Counterparts but it is rare to have an experience like this in the states now a days. So if you are in Guthrie and looking for an experience I would recommend Gage’s.

My husband and I ate there last Saturday. We hadn't been here since before the pandemic, and had forgotten how truly delightful this place is. The atmosphere is polished but casual with classic fixtures and dark wood charm. It is in an old renovated train depot. The service was excellent down to every detail. The food was simply outstanding. My husband had the Pecan Crusted Rainbow Trout and I had the Crab stuffed Salmon. The presentation was stunning and their twice baked potato was like none I had ever had before. This is an astoundingly great place in such a small town. Big city quality, atmosphere, and service.

Our GPS had a little trouble with finding this place but glad we finally got there! We were led to the dining in the bar but it was quite noisy there so we asked for a table in the adjacent dining room and were immediately accommodated. It was much quieter there. Kayla, our waitress, was extremely helpful with the menu and making suggestions. All four of us ordered a different item from the menu and we were all very pleased with our choices. Crab cakes, rack of pork, ribeye and South of France Chicken all were excellent. Kayla also helped me find a substitute for the risotto that normally comes with the chicken - steamed broccoli - and that also was very tasty. The raisin bread pudding for dessert was also very good. Our experience was great and we will definitely be back if we are in the area.

Appetizers were good ! Steaks were great! The salad could have been improved … basically poured out of a bag! Bread was decent! Service and atmosphere were really enjoyable! All in all worth the drive! We will go again! Oh Wine and drinks were very good!

Hello All, Welcome to Guthrie and the GREAT Gage steakhouse. We have never been here before, but the steaks & seafood look delicious. So thank you for developing a GREAT steakhouse in central Oklahoma, This is my celebrated birthday dinner & at 68, Glad to be here, So please eat up & enjoy a GREAT meal at Gages.

I loved this place! It went beyond my expectations for a small-town steak house. Everything was clean, the menu was great, the staff were kind, and I would definitely return if near Guthrie again.

We have tried to give Gage's a chance multiple times and have been disappointed each and every time. We decided to give it one last chance when our son brought his family here from Tennessee, mainly because it was local and has a nice ambiance. They could only be in town for 24 hours so instead of taking time out of their visit to go to a good restaurant in OKC, we opted to try Gage's one more time. We had hoped for a nice leisurely evening, but it turned out embarrassing and very disheartening. The salads came out at the same time as the entrees, one of the salads was wrong--twice, my husband's steak was raw (which he showed to the waitress), my fish was awful, my sides were wrong, my son and daughter-in-law said their food was "OK", but you could tell they were just being polite. The service was minimal at best. The manager came by and asked how everything was, but when you bring guests to a restaurant, it's more embarrassing to complain than to just power through and leave. My husband stayed back after the meal to let the manager know. He wasn't aware that I didn't eat my entrée because it was so bad, so he didn't mention it to her. We moved here from Denver 2 years ago and always had fabulous restaurants to choose from so we really were hopeful that Gage's would become our local go-to, nice restaurant. But, after several tries, and several hundred dollars, we have decided we will not be going back.

Great dinner and service at a fair price. Had the blackened ribeye. Will stop by again if in the area.

Surprisingly great menu prepared very well. My husband and I have been three times. Twice by ourselves and once with another couple. The pan-seared crab cakes are excellent and my husband, being from Maine, is very picky about his seafood. The crab stuffed mushrooms are also good. I've had the chicken and shrimp au poivre, garlic coated petite lamb chops and rack of port with bing cherry sauce. All were very good. For dessert, we had turtle cheescake every time. It's that good! We'd order the bananas foster if they would prepare it at the table but unfortunately they don't. New staff could use some additional training on the menu. We were told that we couldn't order certain items (that we had ordered before) only for them to come back and apologize saying it was available to order after we directed them to go ask about it. This location is in an old train depot but by active tracks. You will have an occasional train go by during your meal. They do take reservations but we haven't needed to make them. Waiting time is usually brief.
