Take out doesn't work for all restaurants. The cheese in my enchiladas wasn't even melted. I believe our dinners were microwaved in the styrofoam boxes. Salsa is very thin, but had some spicy flavors. Overall this place is probably average for Oklahoma. I try another...place on my next trip to Broken Bow.More

I'm basing the overall review score on my meal. I had the Alambre and it was very good. It was a mix of meat (I had steak but you could get chicken, shrimp or sausage as well.), Monterey Jack cheese , bell peppers, onions, ham...and bacon with Pico de Gallo, rice, beans and flour tortillas on the side. It was very good. We both also liked the chips and salsa. The chips were thin and crispy and salted just right. The salsa was thick enough to stay on the chips (not too watery) and it had some bite to it; not too much but it wasn't blah like it is so many places. My wife had the mini quesadilla. She got the beef (chicken, shrimp or sausage were also available) with beans, rice, sour cream and Pico de Gallo on the side. The quesadillas were pretty dry and pretty plain. She said they weren't "bad" but just that she'd had better at multiple other places. We did like that they brought our drinks in large glasses so we didn't have to keep asking for refills. That was good because our server had too many tables to wait on. She needed some help. They weren't very busy (noonish in a Thursday) and, while the tables didn't appear to have been rearranged for social distancing, you could sit where you wanted so we were able to socially distance ourselves. When in this area, there are only a couple of choices for Mexican food. (The other is Cielito Lindo.) Both are decent and we alternate when in the area. We will go back I'm sure but you just have to have realistic expectations for what you're going to get.More

We were staying at the Charles Wesley, so we came in for lunch. Their taco salad and queso blanco were awesome. Service was great, and they did a pretty good job of social distancing during COVID.

We have eaten here a number of times over the years, and the food is consistently good. It cost about $60 for 4 people, so keep that in mind. Staff is very friendly and attentive.

When I dine at Mexican restaurants I like to order a combination plate, so I have different options. My plate came with a taco, beef and bean tostado, tamale, cheese enchilada and beans and rice. This plate did not disappoint. Everything was very tasty.
