I live near downtown and this sushi place is near and dear to my heart. I saw other reviewers complaining about the price and I think they are likely ill-informed about the price range of sushi. Memories has typical pricing and provides sushi at a...good value. I also enjoy all the non-sushi options. The gyoza, tempura, and teriyaki are typical fare for a Japanese restaurant in the Tulsa area, but Items like tonkatsu, yaki soba, and yaki udon set Memories apart in their offerings. Satisfying a diner who does not eat sushi is no problem. The atmosphere is that of a neighborhood restaurant rather than anything swanky or romantic. "Wal-Mart parking lot" isn't normally what comes to mind when choosing a sushi restaurant, but the no-nonsense offerings more than make up for the humble locationMore

We were in town for a family event, thought we would go for some sushi. There was something a little off about their sushi. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it just all tasted a little off. It wasn't bad, it just...didn't taste like any other sushi we've had. The service wasn't very good either. I don't usually write negative reviews, either, so I don't really like saying anything negative, it just wasn't for me.More

We would recommend the Sushi Deluxe platter. The snow crab soup is a bit messy if you order it. They have a good selection of rolls and everything we got was fresh quality. Relax and wait, everything is being made as you order, so it...will take a few minutes. Service seemed attentive and knowledgeable.More

I'm really picky when it comes to sushi, but I have absolutely 0 complaints about Memories of Japan. Large portions + low price + Gucci quality sushi = yes please!

The wait staff was excellent! Best Miso soup and eel sauce. We had the Sushi Boat and the two of us could not finish it.

This restaurant delivers on taste and we were pleasantly surprised at the amount of food you get for the price. Very reasonable and we would go back again.

For what you get it's terribly overpriced I'm not quite sure how they've stayed in business for so long at the prices that they're selling their food at

Our very first date was here at Memories. We've had many subsequent anniversary dinners here over our ten years as a married couple. We love many aspects of the restaurant. It has a great quaint feel that is lost in large sushi restaurants. They serve...high quality fresh fish and many of their non sushi foods are fantastic too. We love the box meals- teriyaki chicken being a favorite. The tempura veggies are great and the deserts are nice for special occasions. My personal favorite is the smoked salmon, practically melts in your mouth.More

I am from ASIA. I LOVE my Japanese food. Their sushi here is WONDERFUL. The service is a tad lacklustre, but the food is good. The Happy Roll and the Spicy Dragon Roll are my absolute favourites!
