Zanesvilles original ice cream spot, good lite lunches, excellent ice cream, chocolates and nuts. Complete original retro look.

If you're looking for a reminescent old time diner to eat lunch at, Tom's Ice Cream Bowl is the place for you. Deliciously prepared food complimented by their sweet-tooth satisfying homemade ice cream awaits you....and don't forget to sample their warm salty cashews! You won't regret it, I promise.

Homemade ice cream with yummy toppings. What more needs said, right? But they have good sandwiches and well as Ben Heggy's candy and the freshest nuts around. Tip: rather than asking for nuts on the ice cream, go to the counter and but a quarter pound of nuts and add them yourself. If there are more than just a couple... More

Would have difficulty finding this place without direction but it's just off the National Highway a few blocks from and I-70 underpass and the river at its uniform cascades. Don't even think about passing this place up. It looks s not much to look at inside or out. But it has atmosphere as thick as fog coming off the river.... More

Four of us stopped here for ice cream. Two had butter brickle. They thought it as good. Another had vanilla which she was satisfied with. I had strawberry that I think was not made with fresh strawberries. There were none in the serving. This place also sells a variety of nuts and individually wrapped candies. There is also a lunch... if you're driving anywhere near Tom's, you should definitely stop. My friends took me here when i was visiting and i can see how it's stayed around for so long. Inside has tons of history of the store and area, which was fun and interesting, but the candy and the ice cream?!?!?!?! If Tom's Ice Cream Bowl were filled with... More

I was visiting my friend. Before I left for Cleveland for the pats browns game. I had the Carmel marshmallow sundae with cherry cordial ice cream. This place does look like the old school ice cream parlor .

Great ice cream sundaes as well as milkshakes or old fashioned sodas. Nostalgic restaurant that hasn't changed in decades. The homemade french fries are still great as well as the Virginia Ham Sandwich. Try the Tin Roof or Marshmellow sundae with Mint choc chip. Best nuts in town and are always hot!

Our waitress didn't blink an eye when she heard my order: "Surprise Me!" As fast as you can say "I can make your hands clap", my sandwich came flying out of the kitchen. The cooks really know how to thin-slice and plate piping hot Virginia Ham on a bun with lettuce and sweet relish. What about takeout? If it fits... More

We had good ice cream here, and great service. Tom's has really fun old-timey decor. However... the fluorescent ceiling lights emit such unpleasant, depressing light. This could be easily remedied, and would transform the look & feel of the place after dark, even from the outside, since the dreary light exudes out the front picture windows.
