Had the shrimp salad. Must say 4 shrimp on a pile of lettuce for $17.00 and the shrimp were not cleaned. Mud vein still on shrimp..UGH! Service was slow. Asked for some bread and it took 20 minutes to get it. I will say the...onion soup was amazing. Better places to eat in Youngstown I am sure.More

Where do I begin: booked the Mezzanine Room for breakfast buffet at Bistro 1907 and meeting for 22 at least 2 months in advance for 14th of May, confirming three times including the 13th of May speaking directly to the hotel's General Manager, Steve. Morning...of the buffet breakfast @ Bistro 1907 and meeting (90 minutes before the start), I was called by a young lady who told me that the Bistro 1907's chef was a "no-show" so the restaurant is closed and they would need to cancel my event. It is not that easy to cancel when people are already on the Turnpike and freeways. I hurriedly contacted several attendees that were in route. Doubletree assistant managers attempted to assist by calling the restaurant owner who, of course, did not answer his cell phone. Doubletree managers then called me and told me to keep calling the owner; they went home (smh). I called the Bistro 1907's owner a minimum of 10 times while in route on the Turnpike to no avail. Upon my arrival, the Doubletree front desk attempted to sell the excuse of "the restaurant is not affiliated with the hotel." The Doubletree franchise owner or Hilton Corporate obviously has a vendor/lease contract with this restaurant to provide services or they would not be on property. I was told by Doubletree employees that the Bistro 1907 has done this before; I observed numerous Doubletree overnight guests who were angry that Bistro 1907 was closed and checked out. The Doubletree, at minimum, should have quickly pivoted to Plan B if Bistro 1907 has done this previously and ordered some type of breakfast catering from a delivery service. The remaining Doubletree assistant manager, Tony, the only person who resembled a ROCK STAR, provided a small conference room and set up water and coffee for our group since some attendees were still expected. Even though I was furious I called Panera in Austintown and explained my predicament. The Panera manager quickly tossed hot and cold breakfast food in a bag and drove it downtown Youngstown in time for breakfast and meeting. I came out of pocket to Panera over $200 when the original plan was for all attendees to pay for the Bistro 1907 breakfast buffet before the meeting. The Bistro 1907 owner nor the Doubletree general manager have yet to call me with an apology. How much worse this could have been if I were a bride with a wedding party expecting to have breakfast at Bistro 1907 before a wedding. This entire situation has been reported to Hilton Corporate Offices.More

This is a restaurant managed by local chef Mark Canzonetta. Great drinks, good food, bustling Sunday brunch. Located in newer DoubleTree Hotel downtown, near theater, YSU, steel museum, etc.

Mark Canzonetta and his staff at Bistro 1907 deserve a round of applause for providing outstanding food and service this past weekend. We had a huge group from 9 states staying at Doubletree Hilton for our sons wedding. Mark Canzonetta catered our sit down formal...dinner for 41 people in a private room on the 12th floor. The service and food were on point and the room looked beautiful. When this dinner ended he catered a welcome open house party on the second floor for 140+ people which was stations of food and desserts that catered to many tastes. On Sunday there was a lovely breakfast buffet to eat or take if guests were on the run to catch flights. I understand the hotel and restaurant are very understaffed but Mark provided us service with a smile and top quality food. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.More

We had a family brunch at the restaurant. The waitress had several emotional outbursts, made personal insults and yelled obscene language to our table all because of a series of mistakes that she made. The food was fine but the waitress seemed to be overwhelmed...with too many tables. The other waitstaff appeared to not work as a team to assist their co-worker. We waited a long time to get our food and we couldn't order a 2nd mimosa. We asked for additional syrup and that simple request threw the staff into a tizzy. I would not recommend this place to my colleagues or friends.More

Food was good/average. (French onion soup was fabulous!). Adult beverages were good. The strawberry shortcake cheesecake was very disappointing. Service was average/good. Acoustics were not good. Loud atmosphere. Had dinner here as a couple. Good place to go for a date night.

Conveniently located on the ground floor of the Doubletree, in the financial district, yet better than expected for hotel restaurants. Nice bar with alternative music streaming, didn’t see many people in their 20s. Traveling solo and had an arugula salad, crab cake, trout almondine, chocolate...brownie. Everything had a nice presentation, nothing to die for. Next time in town, I will try someplace else, but it was all still very good American food.More

Went to the Bistro for a Saturday boozy brunch with my parents. The restaurant had a surprisingly classy and elevated aesthetic. Service was good. I got the Bloody Mary bar and it was ok ..it seems the “pickled” items for the garnish have been sitting...in the jars for quite awhile -many of the pickles were mushy and tasted stale. Great mixes and plenty of hot sauce options though! Dad got the mimosa bar which came with a generous helping of champagne and the juice/garnish selection was good. Food was delicious and servings were huge! Would return!More

Usually hotel restaurants are fairly poor, they have a captured audience and their quality is generally not competitive. Bistro at the Double Tree is the exception to this. They offer excellent food and beverage with quality service. We ate here several times while in town...for business and was impressed very time.More

I planned a 50th Birthday party 6 months in advance . I booked a semi private room in the Mezzanine for New Year’s Eve. I was told it was no problem to come at 6:30 to decorate the room for our dinner at 7:30. I...booked the room in June. Never heard a word from anyone so I called the beginning of December. No one knew anything about it. Finally a manager, Brenda, asked if I had put a credit card deposit down and selected a menu. I told her no one had contacted me to do so. She sent me a menu and I selected 5 items. She also told me it was no problem to split my sisters family’s bill between myself and my other sister. On December 30th, the day before the party, I called to see if I could add 1 additional guest. Brenda, the manager handling my party was off but I was told it was no problem and she would be given the message. The next day, THE DAY OF MY PARTY, I called to speak with Brenda. She did not remember who I was or any details. Once she checked the computer she said “Oh yea, the party, 16 guests”. No, there were 19 guests so I corrected her. Then she told me she was glad I called because she never printed our menus. About 15min later she called me back to tell me since it was New Years Eve they had a limited menu and 1 item I selected WEEKS ago was not available on New Years. Mind you, the party was New Year’s Eve since the day I planned it. I asked why I wasn’t informed before party day and got no answer. She said they would have a few of that menu item available if I “really wanted it”. Yea, I really wanted it- that’s why I picked it. So, night of the party. Get there early with cake, sister from out of town, and decorations and am told there are people in that room so we can’t decorate until 7:15-7:30. I told the hostess that I had been assured we could go in the room early to decorate. Once again, no one knew anything about what I was talking about. The hostess was beyond rude. We got into the room at 7:30 so never got in early to decorate. Our meals were good but Once again, time to pay the check and we were not able to split my sisters bill. One person had to pay it. Our bills totaled over 1000$. One manager, Steven, was very nice and apologized saying it’s not the norm for the Bistro but since it was New Year’s Eve they were just really busy. I don’t care. They knew all along I booked a party for that night and if they couldn’t handle it I should have been told. My husband is a physician and owns a business. I have planned many large parties that went 100 times easier than this small party. I will never go back to the Bistro and would never recommend a party there.More

Service was good, but the food was overpriced and not really that great. The waiter was not very helpful in deciding on the menu.

It was a year since my last visit and the ambience, service, food and drink was still first class. This bar and restaurant has been a great addition to downtown Youngstown. However, there are touches which are completely unnecessary. Like serving fish and chips in...a bucket! Makes them difficult to eat, why not accept convention and serve them on a plate?More

Ate here on a recent trip to Youngstown. I had one of the best Caesar salads I have every eaten. It was an avocado Caesar salad and was delicious. I was a little scared at first for a Caesar salad with avocado on it and...some of the other ingredients listed, but I was super impressed and ate every bit of it. I give a very good rating because of the over use of ingredients. It makes it hard to order as they take some everyday type dishes and add a bunch of other items to it. It worked on my salad. It did not work on my crab cake. The crab cake along was good, but all of the extra items added to the top and around the plate drastically took away from the dish. This also made it difficult for others in our group to order as some are on the picky side. Overall, it is a very good restaurant and I would eat there again.More

I think it MIGHT have some items that are gluten-free, but I do not recall them listing them as such. You might want to download their menu and/or call the hotel. I hope you enjoy it.
