Spectacular service and dining experience as always, I had a perfect sirloin he had the seafood bisque and a fried chicken sandwich. The server, Molly, was awesome. Dessert was a mouthwatering butter cake. Never disappoints!
Husband and I got there around 45 minutes early for our reservation. Our table was ready so we were immediately seated. Had lemon drop martini and rum punch. Ordered seafood bisque and french onion soup. I had sirloin steak he had beeef stroganoff. Both meals...fantastic! Service top notch and can't wait to return in the future.More
The city Square Steakhouse was all we were hoping for. Great atmosphere, clean, well staffed and food was excellent with a fabulous wine selection. We started with the charcuterie board that was farm fresh from local farms, then moved onto a very well prepared steaks...and butter cake for dessert. But all in all it was the staff that made it a great experience!!More
The staff has done a fine job of setting up for social distancing, both inside and outdoors. Our group has eaten here for four years now, and the steaks were the best we have had yet. Unfortunately, their vegetarian selection, ravioli, was not up to...their normally high standards. That being said, we will be back next year without question, sans the ravioli.More
We were looking for a special place to treat my husband for his birthday dinner. City Square was open on a Tuesday night and promised a good meal.
We were given the seats we requested on the patio. Service was courteous and prompt. However, the...food was disappointing.
The two in our party who had regular steaks, one filet and one sirloin, were happy.
However, the steak oscar for the birthday boy was a disaster. The crab was very strong tasting, at the point of being spoiled. He had to scrape it off and eat the filet without the sauce. I also tasted the crab and agreed with my husband that it was too strong to eat.
Another in our party had the lobster mac and cheese. Wouldn't you expect a nice creamy cheesy sauce? Instead it was dry rotini with a couple lumps of lobster. The woman who had this prides herself on being a good cook and this meal reinforced her dislike of paying for meals out that she can prepare better at home.
We did address the bad crabmeat issue with the circulating manager who came to our table. When we got no feedback, I let our waitress know that the chef really needed to taste the crabmeat, that it was inedible. No feedback, no attempt to make it right.
When you dine out at a restaurant at this pricepoint, you expect the food to meet, if not exceed, expectations. City Square did not do that. They did not acknowledge our food issues or try to rectify them.
It can be scary dining out in the time of COVID. There are many quality restaurants in the area. We will not be back to City Square. We all wished we had gone to Basil instead!More

Good morning, thank you for your feedback. We are so sorry the experience we provided you with for your husband's birthday did not live up to the high standards we set for ourselves at City Square for both service and food quality. We clearly missed...More
