Came here last night and I’m still full the next morning. The steaks we got were really good and cooked exactly how we requested. The seafood bisque was awesome as well. Service was excellent. Will definitely come back the next time we are in town.

Solo dinner on business in Ohio. Steak was great. Service good. Reasonably priced. Would recommend.
The food was very good. I had pork belly and it was the best I’ve ever had. One suggestion I would have is more to choose from for dessert.
We usually love the service and steaks here. We splurge every couple of months because the prices are pretty high. Tonight the service was off. Waited for a long time for our food and then didn’t get the steak the way it was ordered but...didn’t say anything. Because it was obvious the night was off by others complaining. We are hoping this is not going to be the case the next visit. Also didn’t even get a steak knife with our steak.More
Bravo! Our party of four had a spectacular dining experience at your fine restaurant this afternoon! The food, the service and the restaurant's ambiance were all top-shelf! Our host and server, Brandon, was polite, professional and extremely accommodating! No one could possibly ask for more!...Thank you Brandon and City Square Steakhouse! We'll be back soon...More
We are locals and have visited multiple times over the years, and have had many outstanding meals. This was our first time post Covid, and it was truly saddening! I ordered the large fillet which came out 3.5" in circumference and only 5/8 inch thick!...Anyone who knows steaks is aware that there is no way to properly prepare a fillet so thin. Consequently, it was bone dry with no juice whatsoever, even if it was ordered medium. Whoever was in charge if the cuts should specify that there is a minimum thickness regardless of the weight. My partner had the petite filet, which was also done medium, but this was now the very tail end of the loin, and the 6oz fillet was exactly a 1 1/2-inch ball, still purple in the middle and nowhere near medium- totally inedible for opposite reasons. What makes this so sad is it is obvious that neither the cook, the waitress, or the guy cutting the meat had any clue what they were doing. Both of those cuts should have been scrubbed, not marketed as "premium cuts" But if they ended up on the grill anyway, proper preparation would have saved them. We didn't make a scene even if we should have, since we were guests of our dining partners. Someone here has lost the required touch. The ambience and the sides were still amazing, but the steaks were... SADMore
Surprisingly good menu - sad that the mussels were not available the day I went. Each item was prepared well and the accompanying wine was perfect. Crowd was lively. This is a must reserve restaurant. Glad I did Will be sure to eat there the...next time I’m in WoosterMore
Had a wonderful meal here this evening, ordered a 5 oz. steak and it was just the right size for me, an amazing cut, and perfectly prepared. The butter cake is a specialty ... I recommend sharing it, it's rich, but worth it. Service was...excellent.More
Delicious food. Perfect portion sizes. Excellent cocktails. Very courteous staff. Warm comforting atmosphere. Option of indoor or patio seating. Lovely booths or table seating.
Great service, delicious food, juicy tender steak. Our waiter Brandon did an Outstanding jo. Clean environment, great location!
As many of the places in Wooster, this place is overpriced but good. The ambiance in this old building is great. I recommend for special occasions but too expensive for regular dining. Texas Roadhouse is just as good for half the price but there aren't...any of them nearby.More
We were seated out on an enclosed patio and once the sun went down it got so chilly that I had to wear my coat to eat. It took over an hour and a half to get our food. Our $65 steaks were tough and...grizzled. I then ordered dessert and the butter cake was so hard I had to cut it with a knife. It was inedible. So disappointed as I live nearby and had heard great reviews.More
I travel full-time and always strive to eat at local establishments. Was in the mood for nice steak dinner and City Square Steakhouse did not disappoint. Ordered the NY Strip - with Au Poivre sauce -delish. I was Jones'ng for brussel sprouts and luckily they...were offering them with a Salmon dish that night - I asked how the prepared them. I requested that they add bacon bits and a balsamic glaze drizzle as my side - they nailed it. Even said the chef was now a big fan of that method of sprouts! It was a very nice and tasty evening - several good glasses of Cabernet and I was complete. Will definitely return on my next trip to the regions.More
Went there and were seated in the bar area because they claimed no tables were available. Two tables were open and remained that way until we left. My boyfriend was given the wrong food and realized it, but after he already put his fork in...the potato. He notified a male staff member immediately. He brought his medium well NY strip steak out and when my boyfriend cut into it, blood filled his plate. He apologized and said he’d have them cook it more. Meanwhile, the meal that was delivered by accident was now being served to the couple behind us with the fork marks in the potato my boyfriend had touched. Who does that at all, let alone during a pandemic?!? A female manager came out after they “corrected” it and had him cut into it again. It was cooked medium rare and once again blood was on the plate. My boyfriend politely told her to never mind trying to fix it and that he would just share my chicken meal. She then attempted for a fourth time to bring it out and stated that she personally cut into it and it was fine. He politely declined and her response was “I’m comping it anyways, you should just eat it”. Save your money and don’t eat here.More
We had an excellent dinner celebrating our 34th anniversary. I had the delmonico and my wife had the filet. Both were excellent. The service was spot on. Ambiance was perfect. For desert? Of course the butter cake.
