my dad took us here when we were kids ( i am now 62). It was a small kitchen type restaurant. It has grown to be a beautiful place with nice views. I do have to say, this used to be my go to place when coming to amish country, but the last couple of times we have been there,... More

If you want to try an amish restaurant then this is a great one to try. The mashed potatoes with noodles is great as is the broasted chicken. Also, their deserts are super. Make sure and leave some room so you can enjoy (I love the hot fudge cake)! YUM!!!

I have been going on a yearly church bus trip here for over 10 years and never tire of the food. This year I went on my own with my son for a longer visit. We did meet up with the curch group since it coincided with both trips. The food is served family style with plenty to eat. They... More

My sister and I had breakfast here in July 2016. Lovely restaurant with unusual old world decor. Many locals eat here, as well as tourists. Our food was well cooked and tasty. It was affordable, also. Service was prompt and friendly.

The Der Dutchman at Walnut Creek is a great location for your dining needs. We have had many dinners at this location and always have been very satisfied. You just got to try their custard pie!

The cultural experience is a good reason to visit. Local families dine here as well as tourists- "Little House on the Prairie meets 21st century". The meals are delicious, large in serving size and fair priced. The views of the beautiful, Amish farms while dining are a bonus.

This is a beautifully located restaurant with a spectacular view! It's a rather limited menu so don't come here if you're looking for some international type cuisine. Excellent salad bar and the broasted chicken is a must!! The side dishes are fresh and homegrown. The staff is excellent and friendly. Highly recommend! Just know it gets crowded!!

For the hard-working people of Holmes County, Ohio, eating is a simple pleasure, shared at family meals, times of fellowship, and celebrations. Der Dutchman Restaurant has been at the heart of this community and its food traditions for more than 30 years. Our Amish Kitchen Cooking is the No. 1 reason generations of visitors make the trip to Der Dutchman every year. But our hilltop location and spectacular view come in a close second. Lunch and dinner feature simple, straightforward classics—chicken, country-cured ham, roast beef and turkey, and chicken potpie. Hearty side dishes include real mashed potatoes, homemade egg noodles, and the freshest tasting creamed corn you’ll ever have the good fortune to eat. There’s also a great Kid’s Menu, with all their favorites, and lighter options, including homemade soups, fresh salads, and sandwiches.
