I think the best thing about this place is the vintage-ness of it. My mother in law swears by their tuna melt, so that's what I got on my first visit to K's. It was okay. I didn't see anything special. It was good, just not Great! It's very reminiscent of a diner back in time.

Just picked up lunch at K's in downtown Troy. K's is an old fashion hamburger joint...where many Presidents and political candidates have stopped to get a bite to eat. It was a fun experience. It appeared that each of ladies serving the customers have been working there for years.....truly old fashion customer service! They remember all their regular customers and... More

A pleasant step back into time. The sort of place Steak and Shake tries to imitate. Great burgers and tenderloins but the choices are many, and delicious. The staff is wonderful. They still remember what my kids ordered in the 1980's. It has been a must stop for politicians including presidential candidates for decades. K's is more than a restaurant... More

There was a time, when there was no competition this was an OK place in Troy. Sadly it is a bad, below average diner, still hoping people accept their terrible grease filled burgers, tyhey actually keep them in a pan of grease. Chili has a mild flavor but barely any meat. Sad. Last time was truly a last time!

Great burgers, sit at the counter and watch the way it's done the old fashioned way. Would definitely visit again.

I love diner food - burger, shakes, fries, so I love K's. It is a classic and if you like diner food, make sure you go. Great friendly staff and food.

This place has one of my top 3 hamburgers I have ever eaten. The crinkle cut fries and thick chocolate milkshakes are to die for. It has been around for over 80 years for good reason, it is delicious.

Must be doing something right for the last 80 plus years!. Been eating there since 1969. Never had a bad meal. Got to know the original owners and then their daughter took over and changed nothing, no need to they had it figured out!. Good christian ran operation and has been blessed throughout the years. Look no further while in... More

Vintage decor, self serve quaint soda shop. The specialty is hamburgers made to order, and malted ice cream frosty. This is like stepping back in time and enjoying a good sandwich and sides. Great place to meet family and friends, then walk around the shops and boutiques of Troy.

I have grown up eating K's. Best burgers shakes and fries you can find. Also a grilled cheese with pickles is a favorite of mine. I love that this place has kept it's same look over the years. My son is now lucky enough to grow up eating here too
