You are there to simply serve your customers and not create drama nor be their friend. Today, I was insulted by a waitress at this establishment. She dropped our bill off at our table. Mom and I were looking at it trying to divide who...owed what and the waitress said, "How did she end up with the bill? I didn't see her strong arm it away from you!'...as if I was mooching off my parents....I had already given more than what I owed to my friend to pay for mine......people have to come to assume the worst these days. I treat my parents very nicely. I'm the ONLY kid they have that spends time with them, I have them in on some weekends and cook meals for us, I take them away on trips and all they have to do is bring their spending money (not that I have to - it's because I want to - because I really don't have to do any of that). Having kids I s a choice, not something you collect on later in life. Also, if you see my parents walking themselves out it's because they want to. They want to handle their situation independently and not have anyone hanging all over them. I've heard comments about them walking out by themselves at this place, too. There isn't anyway that someone can hoist them over their shoulder and walk them out. So, please just back off. My parents, who ever is with us and whatever the situation are doing fine on our own. Stick to what you're under the roof of the restaurant for and that's merely doing your work. Thank you!More
Hubby ordered a BLT... was given a BL... said they ran out of tomatoes.. wasn’t even asked if still wanted...then after we almost finished our meal the people behind us got a chicken sandwich and they had a sliced tomato on it! Plus I ordered...a Cobb salad and I had chopped tomatoes in mine.. while paying bill the guy behind us complained of same thing... this was lunch time at 12:30 pm, will not be going backMore
Rick's is an exceptional restaurant. Meal selections are unique and not typical of most diners. One of my favorites is the eggs benedict. He also has gluten free bread upon request. You never have to be concerned about the cleanliness, it is always top notch....Servers are good and friendly.More
Large open dining area can get very noisy. Numerous visits for brunch and lunch in the past few months. Hit or miss on service. Food has been interesting at times. Would not order the baked egg casserole again. Tasted like an old mossy tree root.
This diner is easy to access, plenty of parking, not crowded with a very friendly experienced staff. We stop by for brunch after church and/or lunch several times a year and have never been disappointed. Our group varies in who joins us and I've never...heard anyone complain about the food or service. I wouldn't say it was fast service, but the coffee cups are frequently refilled and the food is worth the wait. Each time we're there we wonder why we didn't return more frequently.More
I came in at 10 am for breakfast on the Friday before St Patty’s Day and it was slow. I was seated near the counter where a few waitresses had gathered for a couple minutes. In strolls the owner and just starts unloading on the...waitresses and threatens to fire them all. So Not Cool!!! You just don’t do that in front of the whole restaurant!!! If you have an issue with an employee, it should be handled one on one in private!!!
Get a clue...your food is okay...but your wait staff is great and why people keep coming back!!! Your behavior lost you a customer!
I rate the waitresses as Five Stars...More
