We dined on the patio at Don's last night. My wife had the salmon and I had the walleye. The salmon must have been frozen and was poor at best. It was accompanied by what must have been two cups of undercooked rice. My walleye...was OK but not good / great. Service was excellent. I am sorry to see Don's Pomeroy decline like this. I don't think we will be back.More

We had a celebratory dinner for Father's Day here, and the food was absolutely delicious, we were impressed with the extensive wine list, and the service. The server, I wish we would have saved her name, went above and beyond to satisfy all of our...requests! Excellent service and food. 10/10More

Service is very good but food is just ok. Prepandemic I would have given 5 stars but the food has really gone downhill. They have changed the menu and now uts just your typical overpriced restaurant. Used to have idaho mashed potatoes like mom used...to make, now they are " mashed reds" with the skins on. Terrible. I dont really recommend anymore.More

Sitting on the patio and ordered a cheeseburger well done (for over $15) . When I received I added ketchup and cut it in half to discover it was way to rare for my liking. I of course sent it back. I was shocked when...the same burger was returned to me after having the ketchup scraped off the bun and microwaved the entire meal. The red juices from the burger made the bun and fries gross. I can't believe they did this, even a fast food restaurant servers you a new burger if they screw it up.More

Seriously, I have never had a bad meal at Don's Pomeroy. The food on New Year's Eve was delicious, timing of meal and service perfect thanks to Courtney, at there just are not a lot of restaurants with their atmosphere. Felt safe walking in with...all the staff in masks, tables not too close and just an overall fine dining experience. If you have not been there, get there. If you have, get back!More

Historical Landmark for sure…. Visiting the Cleveland area. Friends who lived in Cleveland gave a list of restaurants to try. Got in on a Sunday and found this one was open and would take a reservation. The restaurant is a beautiful landmark. The staff attentive...and friendly. Now the menu…. All the basics are covered and the wine list was quite extensive with options for glasses and carafes. The food was expertly prepared and presented. I have the tuna which came in a bowl with a fantastic broth. I wish I could have taken the broth home is a bottle. They have a nice dinning room but also noted an outdoor patio and a pub. I usually do not give a top rating, there is also something but not while we were there. My wife knew we were in for a nice food experience since the bread came warm and delicious.More

Perfect weather, perfect patio! Upscale dining and great service. My only comment is that the wait staff wear not wearing masks during this Delta surge...I would appreciate the staff handling food be taking precautions.

Gail in the bar area was great to talk with and the maitre Mitch was kind and knowledgeable. Jennifer was the hostess and not...only was she beautiful and kind she also has a sharp and intelligent wit. this is a high class restaurant where you immediately feel comfortable and at home. I booked a reservation for 10bfor my mom’s 90th birthday. I can’t say enough how GREAT the food and service was. I was hesitant to book there because it’s more expensive than some restaurants….however, we all loved our meals. First up was the pretzel crusted...walleye which 4 of us ordered. AMAZING taste! The best value on the menu at $32. The NY strip steak was ordered by 3 and it was cooked perfectly. The roasted Brussels sprouts were delicious and the crab dip appetizer was wonderful. Don’t miss a chance to eat at Don Pomeroy House.More

Wife and I were in Brecksville visiting her brother, he suggested the Pomeroy House. We arrived about 5:30pm on a Sunday, not crowded. An excellent server took our drink orders, the bartender mixed up the gimlet my brother-in-law ordered with something else, quickly corrected. The...food was prepared just right and attractively served....if it wasn't 1200 miles away I'd go back again soonMore

Surf and turf was perfect. It’s even discounted on Sundays and Mondays making it even better. Grilled romaine salad was fresh and delicious.

I ordered the walleye which was good but really oily. It came with sweet potato fries which were barely warm and a few brussels sprouts which were hardly even cooked. The staff was very friendly and service was excellent. I will come back and give...them another chance.More

We arrived early, to a very full parking lot, yet were seated immediately at our reserved table. Table service was excellent; timely, personable, and accurate. Kitchen service was slower and a bit off. Florida Shrimp Cocktails were long but not plump. Crab Caesar Salad had...such small pieces of crab I had to wear reading glasses to see the crab. The 6 oz. filet special came under-cooked, but was quickly returned for a perfect medium. The Brussel Sprouts were lightly seasoned and mild to the taste. The Carolina Grouper was the star of our dining expreience! Plump, succulent, served with a potato crust and maple-cranberry vinaigrette sauce, butternut squash, and delicious grilled grilled asparagas. I'd order the Carolina Grouper again in a heart-beat! Following Dinner we retired to the basement Bar; nicely finished Pub/Bar with a bit of class. Service in the Bar (we were seated at the Bar) was excellent. They also have a veryn casual pation with casual menu.More

I don't know when it became part of the Don's chain but it was already Pomeroy House named after an important person in Strongsville, OH. There is a lot of history in this house. I believe it was part of the Underground... More

Yes- has been there for many years in Strongsville. Also a Don's Lighthouse in Cleveland. I think they could readily accommodate you for a Rehearsal Dinner. Have given and attended several functions there.
