The Root Beer Stand has been a close-knit family operation from day one and remains so today. As a matter of fact, both of our main cooks met the men they married while working at The Stand. They were carhops back in the 60's, and still enjoy the fast-paced work. And the root beer.

Found this cute little stand while we were staying in the area for a few days. My kids loved the root beer and hot dogs. Prices were reasonable, but portions were small. (Smaller size burgers, not many fries in an order) Definitely go with a footlong hot dog if you have a big appetite!

If you’re looking for a cute, local spot, this is a definite place to check out. With super reasonable prices, a classic, but delicious menu and friendly staff, this little stand is worth the stop. I had a 12 inch chili cheese coney, which was packed with toppings and absolutely delicious. Other offerings include burgers, ice cream and of course the root beer.

We always like to try local places when we visit places and The Root Beer Stand did not disappoint. It’s a really cute place and we were glad that we gave it a try. I had the foot long coney and their root beer, which were both good. Others in my family had the hamburgers and they enjoyed their food as well. It’s definitely worth a stop! Friendly service too!

Sat and waited in the car for service. A quick menu drop or a quick wave to let us know you were aware we needed service would have been nice. Not once were we acknowledged while people who showed up after received a menu. I’ll just stick to culver.

Whoever manages this joint is a genius! The staff is cheerful and charming. very short wait for food and the hot dogs were delicious. Root beer is great and the root beer floats are wonderful.
Lots of families with kids and teens. All were happy customers.
Don't miss a lunch here!

We recently went here and although the food was good, it was nearly impossible to find any parking. We circled around three times during a week day at 11:30 and found the last spot available. I also understand that during the summer there will be bees out, but they were swarming when we went. Not sure we would make a trip out this way again just to eat here.

Bad food . Way to expensive. Never go there again . Two single burger and 2 small fries 2 small drink for a damn 18.99 with I left and went to burger King or white castle

How have we lived here 15 years and this is our first visit? Great service, great food and great prices. My kids are already asking to return. We got burgers, hotdogs and the pulled pork. Also two floats. All were great.

How could anyone not make a stop here. If you're over 60, you'll feel like you've stepped back in time, if under 60 you'll find out what we mean by the "good ole days". Drive in restaurant, where they still take pride in serving every order. Awesome hot dogs and the best root beer on the planet. A seasonal restaurant, so be sure and check to ensure they're open. You can eat in your car, outside dining behind the stand or they have a few bar stools at the counter.

We were so excited to visit this little place. When we got there it was standing room only and since we had manners and were a bit clueless as to what we were doing, we stood there. Several others who obviously had been there before kept coming in and shoving by us placing their order. We finally got a seat and our waitress Carly came up and got our order. The staff was great, root beet was great, food was great, the rude other customers not so much. So my only advise is when you go be prepared to shove up to the front to order, there really isn't a system to place an order or a spot to stand. You just kinda wait til a waitress hollers who is next and then you chime in. Totally worth the chaos and time. We will come back on our next visit!

Well I found this gem by mistake , I was renting a vehicle next door at budget and found this place . Great root beer , great attentive service , great food . The young ladies were awesome servers . Limited seating inside , but has outdoor picnic tables and places for the kids to play . Will go back again
