About
Joes Bar & Restaurant is in the home of the old Doller grape wine cellar. This small bar is a must stop on your island tour. A good selection of beers and mixes and their signature Sloppy Scotty sandwich with World Famous Bloody Marys. I'm not going out- I'm going to Joe's!

Stop in for drinks, laughs, hotdogs and friendly service. Definitely not fancy and that is the charm! No pretense.

Stopped in based off other reviews. Beer was cold, not overly priced, sloppy Joe was delicious and bartenders were friendly. Highly recommended!

This is like someone’s backyard; picnic tables and lawn chairs. The food was okay but nothing amazing. The bar is packed and service reflected as such. Drinks were a little pricey but fairly consistent with PIB. Bathrooms are port-a-potties.

The Bloody Mary is why we go to Joe’s. They are excellent! They have a full bar and a lot of beer offerings. I am pretty sure they do not have any draft beer, but I’ve never had a beer there. One point to note,...if your hungry, they don’t start cooking until 12 noon.More

We stopped in Joe's Bar first off to take a picture (My name's Joe). Then, friends wanted to buy some smokes (thinking they would be top dollar, like $15 a pack). Truth is, the smokes were the same price as the carry outs in town...(Awesome). Looked like a cool neighborhood bar with good tunes and friendlys.More

We went there on Saturday around 5 pm to grab a drink with a group of people. Upon walking up the bar we asked if we could be served there as it appeared the area may have been one meant for servers to grab drinks...only. We were met with a sarcastic response from the female bartender and a sigh. Upon ordering we asked if we could pay with 100.00 bill since some places are not taking them because of the recent counterfeit money on the island. This was met with another rude response "It is a bar. We have money. " Wow, that is twice she was rude! Once we were given our change, some cents and bills, we were caught off guard by some friends saying hello as we picked up the bills. As we picked up the bills to tender a tip and say hello to our friends, she grabbed the coin change and grabbed our hand and replied, "here is your change I want you to have it and your money," as if we were not going to tip. It was very awkward as we had not even picked up our drinks or anything. We attempted to respond as she stormed away as if we were not going to tip her her, even though we were literally counting out some bills to tip. It was the the rudest encounter we have ever experienced. If she is indeed getting stiffed on tips, supported by her actions, she should reevaluate her customer skills as that did hurt her tip she would have had. We were willing to let the first two comments slide. We left along with the others we were there with as it was not very welcoming. The male bartender on staff was very polite. We go there frequently and this is normally a fun place. I am surprised she still has a job if she cannot engage in a transaction.More

Visit Joe's...You'll Not be Disappointed! This place was recommended to my by a local. Best described as a local dive bar with a limited menu....but very good food. I'd recommend the Sloppy Scotty (beef hotdog with onion and homemade sloppy joe mix). Staff very friendly....Plenty of indoor and outdoor dining. Very cold beer and great bloody mary's. A hidden gem away from the main area of Put-in-Bay. Highly recommended!More

No social distancing, filthy and rude bartender. Walked in and walked out. Perhaps they don't like visitors to their local watering hole. (fine with us . . . we spent our money elsewhere)

Walked in, not busy, bartender rude for no reason. $4.25 for a can of miller lite. Not cool. Not sure why they didn’t want our business but we decided to fine somewhere else to eat dinner.

My husband and I ventured out to Joe's Bar on our rented golf cart. Well worth the trip. The drinks are excellent. Only regret wish the kitchen was still open.
