Close to where we are staying in Port Clinton so we gave it a try. Service was good as it was quiet. Food came quickly and was hot. Overall nice, but nothing special.

Ate here with my daughter on a Sunday evening and ordered the Shepherd's Pie Boxty. It was totally awesome! There is a nice sized craft beer selection available and tv's covering sports in both the bar and dining room.

We enjoyed our visit very much. Cold brews and great food. I had the Perch dinner and my husband had the Irish stew. I had more than I could eat and it was really good. My husband said that it was the best thing that he had eaten there. The staff was very friendly. I would recommend this to family... More

Food was good; couldn't finish it all. The homemade chips were great, if too salty. Beer couldn't get any colder or it would have been slush.

We were looking for a late night dinner in Port Clinton and we weren't sure about restaurants in the area as we were visiting and most of the "name" restaurants were closed. After driving around we decided to try McCarthy's and - needless to say - we were very happy with this restaurant/pub. Great food, great service and great atmosphere... More

I enjoy eating in pubs for their atmosphere and food. This pub is friendlly and had good food. It is located in downtown Port Clinton on the main street and the highway across from wharf . It had good outdoor seating and good fish and chips.

I come in town once a year for the National Matches and I always make a point to visit McCarthy's. Well honestly, more than once per trip. I walked in after a year away and the bartender recognized me from last year. Regardless of the welcoming atmosphere the place has great food, especially the Irish dishes (shepard's pie and boxty's).... More

We didn't know where to eat in Port Clinton and just picked McCarthy's on a whim. We had been to Ireland in March and thought, "Why not?" We were very pleasant surprised. We asked to be seated in the bar because it was much more festive. My husband ordered the cheese platter appetizer for $13. It seriously was enough food... More

We had perch and walleye fried, it was very good as well as the beers we had. The fish is from the lake just in front so tasty and fresh. I liked it a lot and i ll get back.!
