I was visiting an old friend and wanted to take her out to lunch to some place local and we ate here. It was clean and the staff was friendly. I ordered the chicken salad (homemade!) and it was outstanding! I also ordered the potato salad which was good but had unnecessary chopped bacon on top. And we also split a peanut butter cookie that was perfection.

Staff is accommodating and pleasant. Made to order sandwiches, delicious soups, and numerous drink choices. Love coming in the summer for something icy cold or in winter when they are happy to make it "extra hot" if requested. Small gift shop, never know what you might find. Been patronizing for years, plan to patronize for many more.

The food is beyond top notch and all homemade! The atmosphere is so nice. The inside is very rustic chic and they sell items too! My fav is the strawberry spinach salad with their homemade strawberry vinaigrette!

Restaurants serving home-made food are not a thing of the past. There's a great spot in Navarre, Ohio--about 15 minutes south of Massillon. Have eaten here several times, both breakfast and lunch, and have yet to be disappointed. Excellent coffee. The good news is that they've opened a second location in Massillon, called Anderson's in the City, which is located in the Massillon Museum. Excellent value for the money and a friendly staff.

Love stopping here for a cup of tea or coffee.it's right off the towpath..or on your way to the Amish country.lots of great sandwich choices.Love the mac & cheese and/or Pasta salad. Makes you feel like you're at home in the country -sitting on the big front porch or in the cozy interior. Without a doubt it's worth your stop if you're heading through Navarre 😊
PS cake ..cupcakes .. sweets are amazing

I've been here a few times now, always for lunch. It may appear that it will just serve the plain ol' thing, but they do it with great touches that take it above plain. I appreciate any place that serves tomato/mozzarella sandwiches, but they also have have turkey that they add with a great chipotle and many other options. The lunch combo is the thing to get. It includes half a sandwich, a side and a dessert. My favorite side is the greek pasta salad... one of the best I've had. The dessert can be an apple, cookie or cupcake. The most recent cupcake I had was a hamburger and boy was it good. The cake was almond-flavored with a brownie as the meat. So great. Lots of choices for teas and coffees also. Attached is a room where they sell their own candles and soaps. Lovely deck and the decor is kind of country, but not so not-cool country. Very cute.
A great stop after The Wilderness Center!
