Cru is a very nice Country French restaurant. Driving up to the restuarnat youu would think you were in the countryside of France. The atmosphere is terrific which sets the staghe for a nice meal. The restaurant service is excellent. The bar area is charming and an area I would go back to for another meal. Very clubby feel. The duckj main course was a bit disaapointing in that the sausage part of the entree was very dry and the duck breast shoulkd have some some crispness to it. By far the best enrtee was the briasewd shirt ribs. The steak Tartar and Foi Gras starters were great. The crem Brulle for desert was perfect for the end of the meal.Nice touch was Wednesdays is half price bottle of wine for those bottles listed at regular prive $100 and under.

We drove by this place for several years, but it looked too ostentatious, so we never tried it. Today we finally went there for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
Very good place. Cozy. Comfortable. Great staff and very good food. Not cheap, but affordable. I had grilled octopus and scallops, my wife - heirloom tomato salad and a burger. All tasty, great plate design and a French portion size, which we like.
Just two tiny things:
1. Our mixed drinks were not mixed and
2. They ran out of their soup of the day - my favorite cream of mushroom. I do not think that the restaurant of that level should ran out of any item on the menu.
Otherwise, we had a good dinner.

OK, I got your next "special dinner" spot. My wife and I went to Cru Uncorked for our anniversary and it was perfect. A friendly greeting from the complementary valet, a quick trip to our table from the hostess and quick hello from multiple staff members started our evening. The craft cocktail list is long and wonderful with my wife having a frozen paloma and myself a vesper. Service was outstanding, headed up by David, perhaps one of the best, professional servers we have ever had. Octopus appetizer had a great char and wife's tuna tartare was so unique and tasty. Chris helped us with a wine that crushed it with the duck and veal entrées. The chocolate stone and strawberry shortcake cap a perfectly prepared, presented and timed dinner. This was all followed by David taking us on a tour of the grounds and the wine cellar. (One of the finest in Cleveland.) This is a must stop destination.

Disappointed, I have hosted events here and have dined numerous times, today the food was terrible, It took a lot time to get the entrees. I ordered the duck, it tasted finny and was impossible to chew, I traded that with Halibut, it was overcooked. Not expected not to have a good dinning experience at cru on my Birthday. Just disappointing

Excellent restaurant with a great menu with lots of options. Food is absolutely delicious and presentation is artistic. Excellent and friendly staff. Definitely a special occasion place, as it is pricey but well worth it.

I have eaten here many times and the food and wine are outstanding. This is far and away the best wine selection in ohio; and the food is exceptionally modern and thoughtful. This is a restaurant most certainly worth a special trip, but also having a burger in the bar feels perfectly comfortable.

I have reviewed Cru Uncorked before but needed to update it as this dining gem just keeps getting better. Beautiful building & grounds, world class wine selection, finest chef in Cleveland area and absolutely outstanding people will make your special dinner a night to remember. Our latest visit was on New Year's Eve where under the watchful eye of our fantastic server Julie, we had a first-class meal and even better than that, a first-class experience.

Today, I had the pleasure of eating here for the first time. The food tastes absolutely delicious and was authentic French. I was here for a birthday party and I had such a great time. From the soup to desert everything tasted so delicious. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area. Thank you so much to the folks at Cru Uncorked for having us and for the delicious meal

Last night my wife and I celebrated a significant anniversary by having dinner at Cru Uncorked. The entire dining experience was nothing short of PERFECT - the food, wine, service and staff were superb! Michael was perfect as our server. Chris was very engaging as we navigated the wine choices and selected the perfect French wine and Ports to accompany our meal / dessert choices. This was not our first time at Cru Uncorked - a perfect choice for a wonderful dining experience.

My wife brought me here for a surprise birthday dinner. In all honesty, had not come here before due to reviews about high prices and the menu. Boy were we pleasantly surprised. Everyone was so attentive and welcoming, from the valet to the hostess to the wait team and even the GM. wine list is impressive and extensive, especially French reds which we love. Food was top shelf, from the presentation to the subtle flavors. Prices were very reasonable for what you get, a real French country dinner with all the attendant service. We will be back. Shouldn’t have waited so long to come for the first time!

We eat here every time we are in Cleveland and it is always an exceptional experience. The escargot, the fillet, and the halibut are always five star whatever presentation they choose. You should try the cheeseboard it is the best. Above anywhere we have traveled. The desserts are always divine and fun. We often take guests with us, and they are always in awe.

It's like dining in a French Countryside chateau. The ambiance is just beautiful with many fixtures, art, etc. from France. Our meal was outstanding-Halibut, Sea Bass, and Duck. The staff are so proud of the place and you can tell they genuinely like working there. No loud, intrusive music to compete with your conversation. This is what a dining experience is all about. Too bad most restaurants in our country just don't get it.

This is by far the classiest restaurant in the Cleveland area. stopped in after a long day and was able to sit at the bar without a reservation. Elizabeth the bartender and everyone else made me feel comfortable and at home. The conversations in the bar area with other patrons was first class, engaging and well enjoyed. Best to make reservations, however you may get lucky if you want to sit at the bar. A perfect spot for anyone wanting to go someplace special. This is the place.

Very nice atmosphere. Good service. Very expensive, and the food isn't quite worth the price. They're adding on to the patio and it looks like it'll be nice outside, when the weather improves.
