We stayed at a condo on Middle Bass Island and went to Walleye's for a late lunch on our last day. We were told to seat ourselves, so we did. We opted to eat inside where a few other tables were being waited on. We...sat at our table for about 40 minutes, while be passed by servers and other employees, and ignored. The one employee who finally approached us said they would wait on us, but they had three other tables somewhere else. So, we waited before finally going up to the bar. We asked if we should put our order in at the bar and the bartender said yes, he'd take our order. He'd already seen us sitting at the table, but chose to ignore us. We got our drinks from the bartender and placed our order. About 30 minutes later, we still didn't have our food, so we went to a woman who was now at the bar and asked about our order. She asked the bartender and he admitted that he didn't put in our order. We continued to wait for another 20 minutes, and they brought us out a basket of walleye bites that we didn't order and didn't want. After another 20 minutes, we decided that they really weren't interested in our business, so we left. I get the feeling that we came at an inconvenient time and they simply didn't want us there. Lastly, the employees were not all wearing masks according to the state mandate.More
Yet another establishment that dislikes families with kids. One waitress actually rolled her eyes and huffed when we walked in. Well, they showed us. We waited for over 20 minutes to be acknowledged at our tables, and didn't even get an "I'll be right with...you." Not sure if it had to do with the mixed races in our group amongst our children and their friends, or it was the fact that we had kids with us, but everyone else (including those with kids) had a waitress. Definitely wouldn't walk foot in this place ever again.More
J F Waleye's Is a fine place and a "Must Stop" for eating and entertainment.
The atmosphere is beautiful and the screened in area in the back offer a great resting place while you can enjoy a drink, .and food. There cheese sticks are a...meal in themselves. No one can eat two orders. J F Walleye's is conviently located. T.here service is outstanding.More
Yep, island bar food. All you can stomach cod and fries on Friday night for $11. The shrimp basket was very good. The perch sandwich was also good.
Our waitress was friendly and kept the kids sodas full. Even the bar tender greeted us as...we walked through the bar area.
You can get ice cream cones up front. There might be golf cart and bike rental on the property too. You can play corn hole and Jenga (wood block tower). The wading pool with walk under waterfall is pretty cool for an island bar to have. There's live music inside some evenings.
Location is a short walk from the ferry, and accross the street from the state park.
I'd like to come back on a Tuesday night for pizza and a half bottle of wine for $6.More
Very disappointed this place wasn't open during posted open hours. Tried a few times but never found it open.

Sorry you showed up when we were closed. Our hours are properly posted on our website and our facebook page. If you found hours elsewhere, we cant be responsible for them. Surely a 2 star review is quite funny, just for not being open! SMH
The Staff was great:)) Our server was great:)) The atmosphere was great:)) My wife and I wanted a day trip of bike riding, and nice places to eat. Middle Bass Island provided a nice place to ride our bikes, although there wasn't a whole lot...of places to ride. When it came to a place to eat we found out that there were only two restaurants on the Island. Luckily JF Walleye's was everything that Maria and I were looking for. The atmosphere was very fun. They had a long bar, and eating area. They also had a screened in area in the back where they served drinks. behind the screened in bar they had a beautiful landscaped patio with a water fall and wading pool. JF Walleye's was very relaxing. Maria and I ordered Walleye bites as an appetizer, and they were delicious. The frozen strawberry daiquiri that I had was delicious as well. If your traveling to Middle Bass Island you have got to visit JF Walleye's.More
