We go here often, since it is right around the corner from us. The food is awesome, if not slightly expensive. There are some cheaper options, but if you want a lobster tail, expect to pay $50. They have a great selection of wines. Their specialty is prime rib, and that is great as well. It's a little out of the way, but they have lots of parking and think you can call ahead for seating.

The food was delicious, as always, but the service provided by Kim is the reason I will return. She anticipated our needs before we asked for things like refills or more bread, she was friendly and efficient, and she offered excellent recommendations and had extensive knowledge of the menu. Thank you, Kim!

Excellent, friendly staff. Relaxed, rustic atmosphere. Nicole, our server, was extremely attentive, but not at all pushy. Perhaps a little pricey, but dining at Timber Lodge well worth it. The place was packed and slammin' busy, so I figured it would be an hour wait, just to be seated. Before the hostess ever left us, we were asked to turn around and escorted to our seats, a total of about 20 seconds! By the time I was halfway done with my cocktail, the appetizers had arrived. The main course arrived just before I finished my drink. The steak was very tender and cooked to perfection, not over-seasoned and didn't taste like marinade. King Crab legs were a healthy portion; plenty to share. Sadly, there was no room for desert, it had to be a carry-out: Orange Creamsickle Cheesecake. Original, and perfectly delicious! I must agree with TripAdvisor's assessment that they are #1 of 100 restaurants in Medina. WARNING: if you come here for dinner, bring an appetite!

We went there tonight to celebrate a b-day & I got the grilled Shrimp, which totally sucked but also I got the Lobster Bisque soup that was very good. Everyone else got the Prime Rib which they said was fantastic & my husband got scallops he said they were good but huge scallops also he got the clam chowder soup & asparagus which he said was fantastic both of them. I don't know why I can't ever order something that comes back the way I like it or like it looks on the menu which is very maddening. Very expensive dinner also

My wife and I stopped here coming home from the Cleveland Hopkins airport on a Saturday . They open at 4pm on Saturday’s and seating on Saturday’s is first come first serve. We were the first of many to form a line waiting for them to open. They were very busy by the time we left at 5:20.
So the line confirms a good reputation and our dinner did too. We both had prime rib. This comes with one side and a salad. My wife also had the clam chowder. Everything was very good. We shared a bottle of J Lohr Merlot and this was good.
All of this rang up at $110 before tip. So I think very good deal.
Our server was very good (Maria).
Atmosphere is nice.

My wife and I were sightseeing in the area and came across Timber Lodge online while looking for a dinner spot. We had never heard of this place, but the menu had what we were looking for and it happened to be a 15 minute drive from where we were. Luckily for us, as it turned out.
Ample parking and a relaxed atmosphere was what we noticed immediately. CDC safety guidelines were followed, so we felt safe dining inside. Laura, our server, brought a delicious sample of the lobster bisque after my wife expressed interest. Impressed, she ordered the bisque as her appetizer and later declared it the best she had ever had. I myself had the jumbo shrimp cocktail.
The food that followed was nothing short of fantastic. I had a Caesar salad (fresh, tasty) and my wife had the wedge (HUGE - I had to help her, and was glad to do so). She had the chicken Marsala with green beans, and I had the tomahawk steak (on special that night, not a regular item)) with massive loaded baked potato and a side of fried onion strings (not rings). We've noticed a general decline in food and service quality in restaurants since the pandemic began to take its toll, but Timber Lodge seems to have avoided this. This steak was magnificent! Seasoned and seared perfectly, flavorful, it was exactly what I wanted. My wife loved her chicken Marsala but was getting full after the bisque and wedge. Abut half came home with us.
Throughout the meal we were very much taken with the level of service. Laura was superb, but that seemed to be the norm for this place as everyone on the staff was moving with a purpose and all knew what they were doing. We live in Columbus and so are not close, but honestly the quality of this dining experience will prompt us for a return visit sooner rather than later. The staff is trained to Swiss watch precision, the food quality and ordering accuracy is letter-perfect, and judging from the faces and body language of our fellow diners, we are not alone in this assessment. We are happy to provide this positive review because these folks deserve the accolades.

Steve, Let me just start with a huge Thank You! You have captured the core of Timber Lodge and everything that we strive to be. Impeccable service, the highest quality food, all nestled in a safe comfortable lodge that can take you away from everyday life. We have never let our guard down in all of this because we know what we are and what makes people happy. Many restaurants don't have food runners and table bussers to avoid the costs, but it is critical to our model of getting food out to people and following up if they need anything else. The bussers make sure everything is cleaned and ready to welcome more diners that might had had a small wait for a table. We so much appreciate you recognizing all of this in one short visit. On another note, Laura is amazing and is our trainer for all new employee's so that we get their best everyday. I hope you come to visit us again and thanks for your review, I plan on sharing this with the staff at our upcoming meeting.

We went to this restaurant for my husbands birthday & had 11 people in the party celebration. The service was wonderful & so was the food that we had. Most of the people ordered Prime Rib which looked fantastic & I ordered some shrimp, wish I had ordered a prime rib they have them in different sizes 11 oz & 14 oz & their baked potatoes are the biggest ones I have ever seen from a restaurant that served them they had loaded & others they were a meal in itself. This restaurant is OUTSTANDING & wonderful to eat at for dinner or even celebrating a special occasion.

We recently had a family dinner at The Timber Lodge to celebrate a birthday. We had a very nice evening. The service was great and the food was good. However, when the bill arrived we were shocked by the price of an entree. A seafood special was offered at market price. Our waitress did not quote the price. We expected a pricey dish, but were floored to see a $113 price tag on a medium lobster tail and 2 crab legs. (2 sides come with entrees) We have eaten at many restaurants here and abroad, and NEVER seen such a price!! We politely expressed our shock to our server and later my husband talked with the manager privately. Basically the response was, it is what is, sorry. Fortunately, we are blessed to be able to absorb a mistake like that. Many would not be so lucky. Few would pay that price, which I'm sure is why the cost is not volunteered. Diners beware!!! It will be a while before we return as that experience left a bad taste in our mouth.

We came for breakfast brunch. We had a terrible experience. We waited for an hour and 45 minutes. When our food arrived it was cold and the steak was burnt . Sent the steak back and when new one arrived 30 minutes later it too was overcooked and tough, The waitress told us they had a shortage in the kitchen. The food was horrible , we did not receive water or drink refills ....terrible service, Manager was not available when we asked . I left an E mail and phone messages with no reply. Very disappointed for the $ 70. bill ...after we left there we went to another restaurant because we left Timberlodge hungry.

The Timber Lodge was so comfortable, with it's rustic interior. But make no mistake, the service and food is that of which you would find in Cleveland's finest restaurants. Tables comfortably separated to make you feel safe, great wine list and top class beef awaited us on the menu. My prime rib was cooked to perfection with a side of pasta that was yummy. This is a great place to meet up with friends, celebrate a special occasion or just visit for dinner.

We were visiting relatives in Ohio, and happened upon Timber Lodge. It specializes in steak and has a bit of everything. Although at first glance, it seems a bit pricey, the volume of food presented makes up for that! The meals were delicious. My husband had an appetizer of spare ribs that could have easily fed two people. Seafood mac and cheese - oh my! I hope you enjoy leftovers - you will be grabbing a to-go box! Our waitress Laura has been with the company for decades and was knowledgeable, friendly, and as excited as a new hire to make our meal the best it could be. I have food allergies, and Timber Lodge was happy to accommodate. I highly recommend this restaurant should your travels take you to this lovely part of Ohio.

The food wasn’t bad. The service was terrible. If Megan is your server, ask for someone else.
We felt very ignored as attention was given to the table next to us, where they were drinking a lot. The only way to flag Megan down was when she went over there. It's ok. It's her tip. My dining partner is a very generous tipper and that won't be necessary tonight. What a difference the service makes.
We had to ask for water refills, and the bread basket we saw on other tables. I was told because we hadn't ordered salads, our bread would come with the entree. Huh? Who wants it then? But she did bring it once we asked.
Portions are large. My friend’s scrod dish was quite average. He wasn’t thrilled, but loved the asparagus. I had the Lake Walleye, which was huge and covered the length of the plate. There were veggies and rice on the plate, so lots to take home. However the “colossal” baked potato that is ordered as a side, after seeing the world’s largest baked potato on another table, was extremely ordinary and in no way “colossal.” The food was ok, but not worth the high prices. $10.99 for a bowl of French onion soup? $14.99 for lobster bisque or clam chowder? $36.99 for ribs? And $80 for a 1 LB. lobster tail? The prices were over-the-top, with food and service not matching up.
Megan kept going over to the other table. Hello? Took long to get the check and no, we certainly didn’t want anything else.

It’s been a couple of years since we’ve been here and we were looking forward to it. So we were very surprised on how expensive their menu has gotten…$50 for a filet mignon steak!! Everything on their menu jumped up in price. If we wanted a high end steakhouse we would of went to one. I ordered a jumbo grilled shrimp dinner. I wish I would have taken a picture of it but it was not jumbo or grilled . They were small, white shrimp with a little seasoning sprinkled on them not the hand rub described in the menu! Very disappointed. My wife’s prime rib was tough. The service has always been slow in the past so we weren’t surprised on how long it took to come out.

Sorry to hear about your experience, the steak is more reasonably priced than anybody in the area where you get a 9 oz filet including salad and side at Timber Lodge. Other restaurants in the area steaks are over $50 and they’re only 7 ounces. The shrimp are always grilled unless you ordered shrimp cocktail?

All I can say is that this experience was absolutely PERFECT! My wife and I were looking for a “non-corporate” steak house that boasted good Prime Rib. Timber Lodge was suggested by a close friend. It was not close to where we live but an easy 45 minute drive got us there with no problems. When we entered the restaurant we were immediately greeted by a friendly hostess. The rustic decor was gorgeous! As we looked around we saw that the dining room was literally packed! Two seats were open at the bar if we chose not to wait the 15 minutes for a table. Easy decision! Bar it is! Win number one! We had no idea that that decision would set us up for an incredible experience! We had not even sat in our seats and we were welcomed by the bartender/server, Angela. Win number two! What a professional! Not only was her service impeccable, she was friendly and had a fantastic sense of humor. I wish I knew the names of the other bartenders and staff that took time to make sure my wife and I were good. Every person that took care of us seemed to be just as enthusiastic about their job. That really impressed us, especially since the service industry has taken such a brutal hit post Covid. Now, the food! Win number three! I ordered a custom size prime rib ( they offer 12 and 14 ounce pieces but also allow you to order up or down depending on your appetite. All I can say is that I will never go anywhere else for prime rib! Perfect! My wife ordered the daily special of petite filets with scallops. Her steak was perfectly cooked and the scallops were phenomenal! The steak was so tender she cut it with her fork! The sides were delicious and fresh (Brussels sprouts, asparagus, steak fries). I could go on and on about this place but I will shorten my rambling by saying that the Timber Lodge and Angela have my wife and I an awesome dinner experience and a perfect date night!! Thank you Angela and Timber Lodge! See you again soon!

The steaks (delmonico and filet) were both not cooked correctly - medium according to their chart. Filet was overdone and delmonico was underdone. Didn't have the time to do that over but did tell the waitress that there were some parts/pieces of the delmonico that were not cooked medium. The filet was overdone as well. For $50/plate you get just as good if not better at some of the chain steakhouses for less. The waitress should have taken like 10$ off each steak. Waitress was attentive, but food quality was lacking. If you want to separate yourself from others (high end steaks), then you need to be perfect with the food/doneness along with everything else. Saying you are sorry and taking money off the bill is what you need to do. In any case, the price was not worth the steaks....
