The food cannot be beat. Liver & onions are my favorite. The Walleye plate is amazing. Breakfast is excellent, with the perfect Bloody Mary. I am so happy it has reopened. The Shovel is such a piece of Marion history?
Upon arriving, we weren't sure we should stay. It looked like an old bar with a loyal base that wouldn't take kindly to new people. Not the case at all.

This trip, I enjoyed the Prime Rib Sandwich, $7.99. Ground rib eye with cheese and onion rings on the sandwich + the usual burger fixings. Big & tasty, comes with fries too.
