Always call first. Phone is not working even though TE shows they are open. They must hire ALL new team. We look forward to seeing "OPEN" sign illuminated soon. Anyone looking for hospitality job should apply at Harmar Tavern.
The atmosphere at Spagna's is comfortably casual with beautifully set tables, heavy dark old wood, and a warm welcome from the hostess and servers. The aroma hanging in the air is amazing and tells you that onsite cooking happens here. The offerings are Italian-American. Our...table ordered Lobster Mac and Cheese, Spaghetti with Vodka Sauce, Pepperoni Pizza, and Baked Penne Pasta. We were served promptly and the meals were delicious. Our party of six arrived early in the evening because Spagna's is known to fill up on weekend evenings. There are separate seating areas with or without the bar. Sports TVs are in the bar area. In warm weather the option for outdoor eating adds to the charm here.More
Enjoyed my first visit with friends...the atmosphere was perfect old Italian, low light, great wafting scents of Italian dishes and excellent food and wine. Very enjoyable, relaxing and can’t wait to come back for another delicious meal. Try the Eggplant Parmesan, you won’t be disappointed.
We had visited Spagnas a few weeks prior and had a great experience. Sat at the huge wooden bar and was taken care of by their very experienced bartender. Good food, great service. So when our company from FL arrived we decided this was the...place to have them experience as well. It was very disappointing and we were embarrassed we had talked it up so. The hostess was very accommodating, and we were seated promptly. Our server, Madeline was ok. We ordered Bruschetta which last time was amazing, this time it was not! Looked like they ran out of the normal bread and substituted it whatever they found in the kitchen. And it was soaked with balsamic vinegar. The whole presentation of the dish was off. We didnt even finish it. Our meals arrived, consisting of baked spaghetti (not liked we had before) chicken marsala, eggplant rolatini (best plate on the table) and the special of the day mahi mahi. Worst meal on the table! The Mahi dinner can with garlic mashed potatoes, green bean medlay and a lovely piece of long thin PLASTIC. Since our server was hanging out at the other end of the bar with some others servers and hadn't yet gotten back to our table to see how our food was, even though the rest of the table was a quarter of the way finished, we flagged down the hostess for assistance. Our server then showed up was shown the PLASTIC seemed undisturbed, but did apologized and ask if I wanted her to put in another order? Well.....yeah, I would like to eat. While my order is being re-prepared, she comes back telling me some excuse about the butter wrapping. Which it was not. And when I told her it was not the wrapping used for butter she started making other excuses. The PLASTIC was clearly as everyone at our table saw, was the cut off end off a bag of frozen vegetables. It happens, but just own up to it and don't lie! Typically a manager would come visit your table after an incident such as ours but none did. The mahi mahi turned out to be a chunk of fish with grill marks on it, no seasoning or sauce, with a pat of cold herbed butter plopped on top. I would not recommend it. Perhaps the regular cooking staff was on vacation, because this staff was clearly off its mark. And our server, Madaline did not handle herself professionally afterwards either. Guess it's a coin toss. Not one we will take a chance on again.More
My husband and I went to Spagna's for dinner. The interior reminded me of an Italian restaurant from the 50s with dark, carved wood details including the all wood bar. Our waiter was knowledgeable and provided great service. My husband had manicotti served in a...delcious marinara sauce and I had a well prepared fish dish with delicately cooked vegetables. A great place for Italian food, and a nice walk after dinner along the river.More
The atmosphere was very nice. The restaurant is Italian and the cuisine compliments the experience.
The waitstaff were excellent and provided good service. The menu does offer some non Italian choices and is moderately priced.
This place is a little fancier but the prices are still reasonable. I love everything on the menu & their salads with raspberry vinagrette are so good! I also enjoy the bread and herb/oil dipping sauce they bring out. Oh...and the sangrias!
A group of us ate at Spagna's Sat. evening and had a delightful dining experience. We all ordered different dishes and everyone loved their choices.
I highly recommend this restaurant to those who love Italian food and anyone looking for a wonderful meal and great...ambiance.
