During a walk around town stopped in for a beer and set at the bar on the adelphia side waited over 5 minutes to be waited on as bartender was eating and then got up and begin talking to a couple right beside me and was giving them samples of different beers and never even acknowledged me. As I was... More

If you are looking for a good place to eat in downtown Marietta, Oh then you need to go to the Galley. The server was a little slow but she was new but our food was fantastic! I had the salmon and it was to die for. The best part was the Brussels sprouts.

My husband and I came here for date night. We got right in and had our choice of outside or inside dining- we chose inside. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and very helpful. My husband had the pan seared salmon and I the wasabi tuna with rice... Both were out of this world! Spinach artichoke dip and pita bread for... More

We enjoyed a light dinner at the Galley and the food was excellent. There was a band playing so with everyone trying to talk over the band it was very noisy but that's just the type of place it is. It seemed to be clean and staff was very friendly. We thought the pricing was a little high but would... More

We appreciate your visit and honest review! Unfortunately, in these historic buildings, the music can be a little overwhelming for our diners. If it is ever an issue again, please let us know and we will try to move you to a quieter location if possible. Again, thank you for your review and we look forward to another visit when... More

Went here with 2 other couples and had a very enjoyable time. The restaurant is in one of the older buildings in town and the decor is both nautical and industrial. Spent a lot of time just looking at all the items on the walls. The service was excellent and the meal was absolutely delicious. It is not a restaurant... More

Hello Richard! Thank you for your review! We like to think the building is one of the most beautiful in downtown Marietta...but we may be a little biased! :) The antiques on the wall are pretty interesting as a result of years of collecting eclectic items. When we find a good one, we just can't help but share with our... More

I've went to the gallery on Friday. The restaurant was relative empty when I arrived. I ordered the hummus and burger. The hummus is probably the worse I had. I would guess it comes from can. The burger was fair but I asked medium rare and got medium well. The service was extremely slow. When I asked for dessert they... More

Oh my! This is certainly not the service or food quality we strive for. All of our hummus is made from scratch in-house, so we apologize that the appetizer was not to your liking. The burger and, of course, the dessert were not at all what we expect out of our staff wither. It sounds like you had a rough... More

As a native of the area that has moved away and recently returned, I was a little embarrassed to say that I had never been to the Galley. So today I decided to try it for lunch. The atmosphere is great.. Lived the historic feel. I had the hummus appetizer .... Which was fine. I ordered the panzanella salad for... More

In town for work and was recommended for dinner by my clients. First, the menu on Tripadvisor is NOT the same as the current menu. Saw fish and chips that sounded good. At the resturant the menu has New England style fish basket. When I asked the server what the difference was, she just restated New England style???? The food... More

Description
The Galley has been a Marietta gathering place for generations. The Galley is quite literally in the center of Historic Downtown Marietta and continues to be the hub of its entertainment world. Marietta College students and alumni meet each other for Homecoming, Graduation, reunions and formals here. Business people hold meetings, client dinners, seminars and banquets with us. Travelers have been delighted with our cuisine and atmosphere. Of course, our beloved locals have turned The Galley into the Mid-Ohio Valley's hot spot for Happy Hour, Wing Nights, Mug Club Mondays, friendly meetings, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, birthdays, and sometimes "just because". We are on a culinary mission to provide Marietta and the surrounding Mid-Ohio Valley with the most interesting and best quality food possible. Our Culinary Director has designed a menu based upon fresh ingredients, quality meats and vegetables, unique flavors and familiar favorites. The Galley's culinary perspective sits at the crossroads of neighborhood gastropub and high-end steak house. Tapping into the local dining scene takes just that - taps. And guess what, we have 24 of them. We also carry well over 50 bottled beers and a 6-page beverage menu that will make you drool. Three antique bars serve specialty libations, rotating craft brews, domestic beers, aged whiskies and even cigars! In an effort to keep the newest and best selection for our customers, we host craft brew and wine dinners. These limited ticket evenings pair seasonal beers and wines with multi-course meals and live entertainers for a distinctive culinary experience.
