Ordered fetticinni pasta with salad. It was alright. Dark bar like atmosphere. Average meal cost a little high. Good service.

This is by far the best restaurant in the area. The food is always spot on. The service is top notch!!! The owner is a first class guy!!! And if you want the best waitress around ask for Roxanne.

Used to be a wonderful Italian family restaurant with great food. Chef retired and the wonderful went with him. Was there twice after but there won't be a third time. New chef is a non-swimmer in a deep pool.

This is a hidden little gem for me. This restaurant has great good, great people, and a relaxed atmosphere. I would happily recommend anybody coming through the area to stop or even go out of your way to stop and have a great meal. I have eaten there dozens of times in the last 6 months and I have only... And this place AMAZED us! For a small rural town in Ohio, food was fresh, prepared well and very wallet friendly. Service was attentive and place was clean, bathrooms too! We would ABSOLUTELY go back as this menu had a little something delightful for everyone. (I hate fast food and was glad that I could get a GREAT meal for... More

Was in the area yesterday. Decided to try the place out for lunch. Could not have been a better experience. Looking forward to trying out dinner here since they are supposed to have great steaks. Sorry, I ate so fast I forgot to take a picture!

A century restaurant, customers love Pondi's welcoming atmosphere, great service, and delicious food. We offer steaks, salads, seafood, and pasta on the regular menu but keep it interesting as our chefs are always being creative with both dinner and lunch features.

Established in 1916,the history of Pondi's Restaurant began when John Pondi was working at the factory once located across the street from the restaurant's current location. He would invite his co-workers into their home to enjoy his wife, Annie's great cooking. As word spread of how delicious Aunt Annie's food was, the group of hungry workers became large enough to justify converting the first floor of their house into a restaurant. They continued to live in the upstairs.

Pondi's survived Prohibition by making "bathtub" gin upstairs, and John Pondi occasionally served a weekend in jail when caught. The restaurant thrived post-World War II and became a favorite for generations of locals throughout the decades.

There have been only three other owners over the past century of operation. Current owners, Matt and Jessica Borza, have owned Pondi's since 1998 and now honor the history and legacy of the Pondi and Muntean family and proudly carry the torch for years to come.
