So the largest group one could have at Momocho (sister restaurant to El Carnicero in Ohio City) is six and we had nine for my wife's birthday. They said their menu was the same as Momocho so we decided to try it. I called ahead for reservations and we were booked for the party room. Decor/atmosphere: Fantastic and whimsical (I've... More

Went here for the 1st time today and the service and the food were both excellent. Tried the guacamole sampler and was so good. Place is pretty huge w/a couple bars and happy hour every day. Will definitely be back!!

I attempted to take my in-laws to El Carnicero this weekend; we've previously dined at their sister restaurant Momocho, so I was excited to give them a good meal. We had my 4-month-old daughter with me (sleeping in her car seat) and it was 6:30 pm. We waited for over 2 hours; handfulls of parties were seated before us, most... More

This restaurant is the best Mexican restaurant in Lakewood. The many flavors of margaritas are so delicious, then to move on to the award winning guacamole and nachos.....oh boy are they good and a meal in itself. The mexican corn is to die for. The entrees are as unique and diverse as the people dining. There is so much variety... More

The food was very good but the service was less than stellar. We waited longer than seemed necessary but would probably give this place another chance.

Tried beef so I can make my own tacos. The guacamole and chips and tortillas were fresh and delicious. They had capirotada too. Just keep in mind that this is the chef's version of Mexican food, so it might be different but that doesn't make it less delicious. Great service too, my friend's beef was too raw and they changed... More

This place is a little on the pricey side, but I have to give them credit for having such a unique menu. It's honestly a little intimidating at first, but the staff is on hand to help clarify everything. I really enjoyed the food here. My boyfriend was less blown away, but didn't dislike it - he just didn't love... More

While I found the food to be very spicy hot, it was still invigorating and tasteful. With traditional Mexican favorites, complemented with a modern twist, this place offers a unique spin and creates their own take on food from south of our border.

My daughter and I had brunch at El Carnicero yesterday ( 11.19.16) while in town visiting family. It was outstanding. We like Mexican food and have dined at many Mexican restaurants. This was among the best. Fabulous menu, creative with a fresh vision and passion for Mexican cuisine. Homemade, freshly roasted salsas full of flavor. We started with regular guacamole... More
