Chicken Kiev, lamb shanks, garlic bread. All delicious, generous serves, pleasant service. They even gave us a senior's discount. We were pleasantly surprised

A quiet country Pub with good hearty cooking. They give you plenty on your plate and I had lamb roast cooked to perfection. My partners schnitzel was huge but a bit overcooked, dry. Quiet and welcoming and served steak and fish on the menu also.

This once must have been a beautiful old country pub. Now it's a dive. Pokies and horse racing dominate this joint. We stopped in for a quick beer and should have kept going. Don't stop here for a country pub experience!!! Although one local greeted us when we walked in. The barmaid was busy taking bets so we waited for... More

Dined in the Pub lounge, which is not overly endowed with style, but staff were accommodating and pleasant. The substantial meals were delivered promptly but vegetables were almost steamed to mush. The lounge room bar was not open so I was directed through a circuitous route via the pokies to access drinks.

...nothing more and nothing less. It's friendly, clean and the service is good. However the food is very ordinary. Whilst it is reasonably well cooked, there is no indication of any culinary imagination (boring is the word that springs to mind when looking at the menu) and there's nothing that sets this place apart from hundreds of other Australian country... Nice country hotel nestled in Westbury Tasmania. Friendly staff and good country atmosphere. Wonderful tasting meals available at very reasonable prices. " Try the chicken schnitzel, it's YUMMO " This hotel is a must on ones list to visit while in Tasmania.

We recently re-visited this hotel for lunch. Some years ago we had an evening meal in the restaurant and it was fantastic with a raging fire, great service and good old fashioned pub fare (crumbed lamb cutlets with 7 veg!). Unfortunately, the restaurant has now been refurbished to accommodate larger numbers (coach tours I suspect) and in the process has... More

A very basic pub and eating areas. If you want alcohol, you need to go to the bar in another room, this didn't faze us, as most old pubs are and were like this. Meals are basic but plentiful. I wish there was a GOOD circle on TA's meter, because the meal and service was above average, but IMO it... More
