Staff are very friendly and make the best hot drinks on the coast. Michael's fish and chips are lovely as the batter on the fish is well cooked, crisp and not too thick. I go here weekly when it is open.

The food is sooo fresh, lovely cakes, slices and tarts with garden fresh berries and cream and unique desserts ... tasty main meals and great coffee. The breathtaking view just makes it... More

Right at the base of the Nut, great to grab some brekky before heading up. Also great to catch some warmth by the fireplace after coming back down.

Made welcome by the owners with great coffee, a chat and some local advice. Chips were terrific and a big serve. Gift shop well worth a look. Glad we visited, well done to all there.

After almost dying of heatstroke and my legs feeling like two sticks of jelly the Nut cafe is a welcome sight! On entry is a small gift ware shop, much to my partners delight (again) Speaking to a lovely lady with dark hair Sally i think, she walked with us to a table near the window, we ordered and had... Thanks for your lovely review and sharing my love of vintage. The items make a great talking point with visitors! Michael's 'real deal' fish and chips are fast becoming well known! Ever since we re-opened the cafe six months ago, we have tried to solve the problem of non-customers thinking that they can use our toilets as public toilets. Comments... More

We had just climbed the Nut and went to the Cafe for something to eat. We had started our meal and then we were asked to move from our table, and move to a table outside to make room for a group that was coming in. I guess we were not important to them and they did not value our... More

To correct some facts for future customers: Toilets are for patrons only and we are more than happy to guide customers to our facilities - so this observation is incorrect. Also, when a group is booked we need to set up tables for them and always ensure that this is done with minimal disturbance to our clients. On that day... More

I initially was sceptical. So often cafes at amazing locations trade heavily on location and seem not to feel the need to match it with service. The Nut Cafe is the exception. We had a great view, I thoroughly enjoyed my coffee with scones with jam and cream and the people were lovely.

Thanks for your review and we are glad you gave us a try as we cook 'real' food and offer real, friendly service! We grow the fruit and make our own jam and the scones (which are nearly as big as the Nut itself!) are very popular! See you next time! :-) More
