Pat & Garry run this beautiful mansion set on a hill overlooking the Derwent River. The experience is A1 quality throughout. Rooms, meals and grounds are faultless. Treat yourself to a royal visit.

highly recommend this property. Husband and wife owners who are both chefs served a delicious home cooked meal from locally sourced produce. Menus change every couple of days. Had we known, we could have stayed overnight as they provide beautifully appointed rooms with antiques and the room price includes a full cooked breakfast. Beautifully restored grand home circa 1800's. I... More

No accom in Hobart in Nov 2015 . Tynwald recommended by local overbooked Motel. Fell in love with the house at first sight and meeting with Pat and Gary who could not do enough for two old codgers, me and lame brother Gregory on our quick motoring tour of Tas. Handy in 30 minutes by excellent highway to our Hobart... More

Absolutely love this establishment. I had the Croquettes which were utterly stunning, whilst my husband had the Rhubarb Duck (also gorgeous). The frozen Lemon Meringue however was amazing & sealed the night for us. Loved it so much we're going back before Christmas to have it again. Thank you for a truly lovely evening, filled with old world charm &... More

In a word .... AMAZING. I just loved loved loved this place. First of all the house is just beautiful. A majestic 1800's restoration. It is also in an awesome location nestled into the valley with awesome views. Of course if you come here at night you won't see the surrounding countryside. But then you step, inside to a different era... More

We sat in the bay window overlooking the garden while the full moon rose over the hills. The food was delicious, with local produce and home grown pork. We would love to know the secret of the preserved lemon and potato soup. If you are spending time in New Norfolk, this is one place you should not miss.
