Food was reasonably expensive & good, but nothing to rave about. This was more than made up for by the ambiance of the winery, the setting & the very friendly & helpful staff.

We had the lamb shoulder, cooked to perfection, and shared by my lovely wife who is a lamb connoisseur and was blown away with this dish, the vegetable accompanying this were just so fresh, the 2014 Pino was amazing, well worth the 90.00 for the bottle! Nothing boring about doing things well!

It's a great setting obviously, being a winery and lovely staff . However the food was incredibly bland and overpriced. Unimpressed.

In a quiet and beautiful landscape and a winery building with architectural significance. Very good fish cooked to perfection. Plus the wines of the winery classy whites. A good outing from Hobart

Beautiful meal in gorgeous surrounds. We did a tasting first, which was very enjoyable both due to the quality of the wine and the helpful and knowledgable staff.

Enjoyed a wonderful Sunday lunch at Home Hill with a group of friends recently, and was really impressed with whole experience. The setting is beautiful, with wonderful views across the vineyard and rural surrounds of the Huon Valley. On a lovely day as it was when we visited, it is just a special place to be. Home Hill wines are... More

Had lunch in the restuarant. Ordered the 16 hr. slow cooked lamb shoulder. Menu said enough for 2 plus persons. It was delicious but too fatty. Would have been much nicer if it was left sitting for 5 mins on absorbent paper to soak up the fat. Grilling for the last 5 mins would have helped also. Ordered the sorbet... More

Home Hill Winery is a boutique vineyard and restaurant situated in the picturesque Huon Valley, just 30 minutes south of Hobart.

With award-winning wines, and a menu full of delicious local and Tasmanian produce, Home Hill has been a popular destination for locals and tourists alike for over 15 years.

The vineyard was planted in 1992 with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sylvaner grapes. The grey loam, high-clay soil and reliable rainfall provide excellent growing conditions for these varieties with the wines winning multiple awards including the prestigious 'Jimmy Watson Trophy' for the 2014 Kelly's Reserve Pinot Noir, amongst other accolades.

Home Hill is the perfect location for lunch, your next event or function, weddings, or just to pop in for a wine tasting.
