This place has a great front end shop with the local produce including wine. We had burgers which were cooked and served quickly and very well presented. The service was second to none and is a great place to take a break from the road....More

I arrived at Taste Canowindra with two friends of mine and we asked if they were doing breakfast. Although this isn’t a typical thing they were more than happy to make us a Bacon and Egg roll. They even went out of their way to...More

Booked ahead for a Sunday night, only to find we were the only diners. Clearly they had gone out of their way to open, rather than let us down. Started with an extensive wine tasting, really knowledgeable and an unusual range of local wines. Meal...More

We had lunch at Taste Cafe in Canowindra on a busy Saturday of the Balloon Festival Weekend. The six of us had to wait nearly an hour for very poor meals-the salmon was grilled, dry & tasteless. The curry was watery & only just warm....More

An exceptionally good dining experience that includes locally produced wines. Don't chose your wine from a menu. Go into the tasting room, taste the different wines on offer and make your selection. The dinner menu is small and offers great choices over three courses. We...More

Lovely to have such a glowing review from fosterkl. He is right a great idea to do the wine tasting first - it is a great way to find the right choice to match the preferred dish on the menu. So pleased they enjoyed the...More

What a delight to taste so many local wines in one location. It was like a ‘wine flight’ – tasting a particular style of wine from each vineyard. The service was friendly and very knowledgeable. We were then able to choose a glass of wine...More

We've been dining at Taste Canowindra since it opened whenever we visit from Sydney, but have not visited for some time until last week. Still the best place to eat in Canowindra for lunch or dinner. Great wine to complement the meals and excellent service....More

Was nice to see mon and mike again, they have followed our progress over the years. Also great that they enjoyed their visit as much as ever. We had not seen them for quite some time. They have always proved to be great supporters of...More

Bob and Marg at Taste Canowindra are the perfect hosts. The menu and the food were more diverse than you would expect in a small regional town and the meals were excellently cooked with the perfect match of fresh herbs and spices. The addition of...More
