Have been here a few times before, and am always happy with the food and the service. It's always nice to warm up before an open fire, while waiting for a meal.

Stopped in for a meal while waiting for a hotel reservation down the mountain. Hotel is homely, food is well priced and good. A bit slow to clean tables when people leave but that's the only negative. Schnitzel and salad for $19.

We had dinner here with the kids. All the meals were cooked to perfection. In particular the vegetarian lasagne. The best I have ever had. Kids had beef lasagne and wanted 2nds as it was also delicious. The classic chicken Parma was amazing! Dessert looks great but we were so full after mains! The pub is a classic old pub... More

We arrived in Blackheath last Friday night, amidst a downfall of beautiful snow! The Gardner's Inn was warm and cosy and our large group was easily accommodated. All of the meals were very generous and tasty and came to our table reasonably quickly. Would recommend to anyone in search od a decent pub meal.

We went as a work group on a Sunday night. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Picked a variety of meals from the menu not one member of the party was disappointed. Great food, great staff, great place, you will not be disappointed

Great place for a large group gathering. Hotel has several large wating rooms including a deck and beer garden with umbrellas. Service can be somewhat erratic but the food is healthy with generous serves. Highly recommended.

Literally the best cooked tender rump steak I have had. At decent bistro prices and lots of wonderful fresh vegetables instead of warmed frozen stuff We ate there most nights and apart from the pepper being loaded on everything. It was all excellent. The server the first night was very helpful. The server the next night was really avoiding trying... More

Good ol' fashion Aussie pub with friendly staff, decent prices and live music playing in the beer garden.

The hotel looks like it needs a little updating but don't let that put you off. The food here was delicious. It even has a nice outdoor garden for the kids to play although some play equipment could be a good idea. Staff very lovely and helpful bringing the boys toys and colours. The girls were a little run off... More

We stopped in for dinner on our last night in Blackheath. The service left something to be desired but the food was honest pub food, nothing fancy. Hubby had the chicken parma with chips and I had the quiche with salad and chips. Salad was a little fancy try hard but the rest was good. Dessert was sticky date pudding... More
