As a local I have watched this pub have many ups and downs and at this current time it is a serious down. If you like to wait for everything this is the pub to be in. The young bar staff are lacking what it takes to work behind a bar, this is either a problem with management not training... More

What's happened to the Gardeners? We are new to the area and have eaten here many times over our six months as Blackheath residents. Went for dinner tonight with visiting family at 7.30pm, not a staff member in sight. Waiting at the bar for drinks, finally got to ask the young lady if they had any menus as they are... More

This pub has a great public bar where very one sits at the bar. In winter the open fire adds to the atmosphere.

Fairly clean inside but outside the window pidgeon crap all over the roof and window. Pidgeons nesting on the sill kept me awake all night. The shower head kept falling down and wouldn't stay up no matter how hard I tightened the scew. The telly was hopeless. The power socket was loose causing screen to be pixelated all the time.... Good pub feed. This is a regular stop for us on our visit to family. Always found the food better than average. While ordering some drinks, I got talking with my bar tender and he gave me a taster of a local craft lager. It tasted very good and I would've ordered one but I was on my limit. He... More

There were 7 of us with 2 children on a busy Thursday night. The food was served very quickly with very pleasant wait staff. All meals were very good with the roast chicken and the apple pie were also standouts.

The kids were happy, I was happy and would have to see the tastiest steak and mash I have had in a long time. The price for 3 of us including drinks was $42. That is amazing value. We will be back next time we visit Blackheath.

I always used to want to come to this pub when I used to take my kids to stay at the cabins in the Megalong Valley years ago. It looked inviting on a cold night and the menu always looked very inviting. For some reason I had assumed the dining room was upstairs, It had a olde worlde wooden décor... More
