I always used to want to come to this pub when I used to take my kids to stay at the cabins in the Megalong Valley years ago. It looked inviting on a cold night and the menu always looked very inviting. For some reason I had assumed the dining room was upstairs, It had a olde worlde wooden décor... More

On a cold winters night dinner with the kids is always difficult. However the atmosphere was easy going the service was fast. The kids had spaghetti bolognese and we had lasagna. It tasted fantastic. We were full as the serves were so big. The kids also had some ice cream dessert. Nice warm fire going inside. Plenty of room for... More

Happy with our Friday night here --- lots of locals to have a chat and a happy vibe ~ Food ok --- We both chose the same meal = vegies so much nicer than the beef which needed a hacksaw to cut.

The roast was terrible as the meat was very tough and the veges undercooked . Thanks goodness for the lovely apple crumble. We were part of a group on Saturday night for dinner. It had been recommended by locals and the pub was packed. The only good thing (apart from the apple crumble) was that it was nicely warm

Have been here a few times before, and am always happy with the food and the service. It's always nice to warm up before an open fire, while waiting for a meal.

Stopped in for a meal while waiting for a hotel reservation down the mountain. Hotel is homely, food is well priced and good. A bit slow to clean tables when people leave but that's the only negative. Schnitzel and salad for $19.

We had dinner here with the kids. All the meals were cooked to perfection. In particular the vegetarian lasagne. The best I have ever had. Kids had beef lasagne and wanted 2nds as it was also delicious. The classic chicken Parma was amazing! Dessert looks great but we were so full after mains! The pub is a classic old pub... More

We arrived in Blackheath last Friday night, amidst a downfall of beautiful snow! The Gardner's Inn was warm and cosy and our large group was easily accommodated. All of the meals were very generous and tasty and came to our table reasonably quickly. Would recommend to anyone in search od a decent pub meal.

We went as a work group on a Sunday night. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Picked a variety of meals from the menu not one member of the party was disappointed. Great food, great staff, great place, you will not be disappointed

Great place for a large group gathering. Hotel has several large wating rooms including a deck and beer garden with umbrellas. Service can be somewhat erratic but the food is healthy with generous serves. Highly recommended.
