We found this little Gem a couple of weeks ago whilst I as driving at a wedding I attended at the church opposite. Returned with my wife a week later for drinks and dinners. Lovely menus and great choice of wines, finishing off our bottle of wine and home made ice cream in the beautiful garden which is best described... More

Just had an impulsive Wednesday evening dinner here. Lovely staff- very attentive. All the food is locally sourced and the menu changes twice a day, depending in the availability of fresh produce. I know because I asked. Apparently this means no food waste. Very attractive setting but it was the food that was such a great surprise. I had Keralan... More

We visited for a lunch in what is laughingly known as the English Summer , we were blessed with some sunshine and warmth and thus were seated in the garden area, this is quirkily decorated with a variety of different styles of seats and tables, and plenty of plants and trees . The food and ale are very good ,... More

Booked a table here in January and was therefore a bit surprised that it was completely booked on the day. We had a table big enough for 4 and offered to share with two people who turned up on spec. This turned into a very interesting experiment as the lady who sat opposite me was revealed to be a triathlete.... More

The food is excellent - concise menu , which is always a good indicator , with great service . One of the best pub meals we've had in a long time and as good as many restaurants.

Really great pub nicely appointed in a great location. Plenty of space in the Garden that even boasts chickens and a midlife crisis Summerhouse gift shop! Food wise its on the money and everything you would want a pub menu to be.

Have been here a few times - often just after a walk and ending up in in the really quirky garden for a drink. Came for dinner recently with friends and were not disappointed. Lovely food, great service and an all round great evening.

Having driven past this place for many years, we decided to try it out. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and the food was interesting and tasty if somewhat pricey for what you get.

First visit and wont be the last. Everything I had was delicious, freshly prepared, full of flavour and I really got the impression that each element had been thought through. I think a couple of others on our table were slightly less impressed, maybe I just chose all the right things! Overall a lovely dining experience.
