Enjoyed lovely fresh fish lunches, battered cod loin and sea bream.Good portions without being piled on plate.Plenty of water bowls for the doggies who were made very welcome. The staff were all friendly and the service excellent. It was a quiet Monday but we enjoyed sitting outside in the sunshine watching the butterflies and listening to the birds! We will certainly visit again.

Rump of lamb very tasty, nice big chunks of lamb not at all fatty. Great chicken Caesar salad and gammon steak also good. Some good choices of traditional pub grub. Good selection of puddings too. Nice to enjoy some live music too

At t.he end of a long quiet Lane, perfect for the end of a long day. Great pub with excellent food. Even the pub dog was friendly. Room was small, but perfectly clean with bags of character. There was even a black horse in the car park! I will definitely be coming back. Thanks, Dave Watts

This was the second time we have visited the Black Horse - previously last year and both then and now we found it strangely quiet for a Saturday evening, with only a few covers compared to other similar places. The food however was excellent - I went for the Mediterranean cod cooked in a tangine and my husband had steak... More

Dog friendly pub, restaurant & accommodation with a lovely dog friendly beach up the road. We had a fab meal on Saturday evening in the restaurant & breakfast the following morning all good quality food, it was lovely being able to keep the dog with us even in the restaurant. Service was very good and staff helpful. The room was... More

Called in on a Sunday evening, first ever visit. Some other customers busy round pool table, and a table of 6 or 8 people having an evening meal. We had eaten large main course at home earlier on. Ordered drinks, and husband asked if he could order a sweet - a banana split to be precise. Nice bar staff, order... More

This is a quaint pub, with friendly staff and great food. The last time we went, we had the carvery - a choice of four joints and lots of vegetables! My husband was very happy as they allowed him to have a mix of meats!!!! A really great place to eat!

Service was very good even though the pub was pretty full. food selection on the specials board included hafb lobster salad sea skate wing and more. Nice quiet area to the rear of the pub... More

Was hoping for a lovely pub lunch. Pub laid out as a dining room, not good if you just want a drink. Was given menus as soon as we walked in and sat down. I looked at the menu and there was no choice for me whatsoever, obviously only cater for carnivores. Won't be back. Disappointed
